Take 10 minutes out of your day and read this, you won’t regret it. [𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐋𝐄 𝐁𝐄𝐋𝐎𝐖]
A former Big Sky MVP walks into Big Sky Football Media Day… not in pads, not in her #45 Montana jersey, but wearing a media badge for FCS Nation Radio.
Decades removed from her playing days, Linda Weyler Jacobson (@lwj_productions) went back to see if loyalty still means something in a world where the transfer portal has made quick exits the norm.
She knows what it means to stay. To spend five years with the same coach, the same teammates, the same 6 AM winter workouts. To suffer together, win together, graduate together, and 25 years later, still text those teammates about kids, careers, and life built on that foundation.
It’s not just player movement we’re losing. It’s the death of the long story. The slow build. The truth that some things are worth building over years, not months.
Her conversations at media day are raw and real:
“You’re going to have hard days. Find people who believe in you first, then prove them right over years, not months.”
This is about brotherhood. About the belief that when someone sees you, invests in you, and you return that investment with everything you have, that’s when a jersey number becomes a legacy.
Do we even know what loyalty is anymore?
Read it. Feel it. Remember it.
You’re pissed because you made an error?
You’re pissed because you had a bad AB?
You’re pissed because you aren’t playing well?
👉🏼 Get the focus off yourself and high 5 your teammates! Focusing on the team is the best way to get over it, move on and get your mind right!

How to know if you’re a selfish ballplayer:
⚾️You pout and have a bad attitude after a win
⚾️You constantly isolate yourself in the dugout when you suck
⚾️You don’t pick up your teammates
⚾️You slowly jog out fly outs and pop ups
⚾️You lack hustle and energy after you get out
⚾️You constantly blame umpires and teammates
⚾️You constantly complain about stupid stuff
⚾️You always brag about personal stats and accomplishments
This you?! If so, it’s never too late to make a change!
