Carberys extension is great. He’s a solid coach players like and isn’t scared of youth.
And if he wears out his welcome, it’s just Teds money and doesn’t go in the cap so nbd
Capitals GM Chris Patrick on Spencer Carbery’s multi-year extension:
“We are pleased to extend Spencer to a new multi-year contract. Since joining our organization, Spencer has played an important role in the development of many of our young players while also earning the respect and trust of our veteran leaders. His communication skills, strong relationship-building and ability to connect with players at every stage of their careers have made him a great leader of our club. In addition, he has helped foster a positive and accountable culture within our team, creating an environment where players can grow and succeed. We have been extremely impressed with his commitment, professionalism, and passion for coaching, and we are excited to see him continue building on that success.”
@clairernak Sure, which is why I honestly don’t expect either to ever go forward. Every block of bus lane is a 10 year battle to get some paint let alone a concrete barrier.
One day we’ll get politicians with actual political courage, but not today
@clairernak All true but you know what makes buses work a lot better? Less congestion and traffic.
Whether that’s through pricing or bus lanes the main thing stopping buses from being as reliable as trains is cars.

@westburgmvp@bearabe5@nikknowsball I’m a big fan of Leviticus 11:9–12
Eating crabs or shrimp? Abomination!
“Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination unto yo
@_welf@tristan__scott_ How is this not just fear mongering?
Seems pretty similar to "5G is going to harm your cells!!! No I don't have any peer-reviewed papers, but let me vomit some science sounding words at you!"
@_welf@tristan__scott_ "No research paper should be required for you to understand that this is probably not good for your brain (will share same later for the "need to see the science" stans)"
... dismissing science and then using science sounding words. "Cellular repair shuts down"
@constans We ban new housing because it will mess up the historic vibes. Then we are shocked that those vibes change because housing scarcity makes housing expensive.
@VasilisLerikos@Yuri_Ravens Probably should move on either way. I hope he absorbs prime Ray energy, gets DPOY, and moves on.
If he’s that good he’s going to get a huge contract at 30. And I’d rather go with a cheaper vet or cheaper youth.
@friendchristoph I can't imagine the Mass Legislature being useful and appropriately funding long term projects. Everything is a last minute band-aid funding fix.
Until that is solved I'm not going to be overly upset at financial games like leasing.
@friendchristoph That’s a better long-term plan, but do they even have the money to do that?
Clearly they’re optimizing for the first year cost. And considering the legislature, I can’t blame them for kicking the can down the road as much as they can.
