Loving movies is a very peculiar love-hate relationship. I mean, you love what they can be, but you also love the crap they are. I have my limits, though. (1994)
Calling a timeout there was a disaster. If you fail with three timeouts, you can still get the ball back using your timeouts with a stop. Now, the game came down to one play.
@SethMSherwood What you are describing is a lack of understanding/education on what makes a series set up SUSTAINABLE rather than something inherent in the form. The key to 3+ seasons is to use a character driven set up not a logistical based one (see Peaky Blinders, Sopranos, etc vs ST)
@jakethornton Balderdash (in courier).
You write rockin' stories, that's what sells.
Next you're gonna be doing 73 page powerpoint decks...
Crap....

You're not going to find someone better informed, more passionate and more capable at explaining how writing for TV works than my pal Blake Masters (Creator of Brotherhood. Not the "other" one.)
This coming January I will be teaching a 6-part online class on the art of building an awesome TV pitch. The class will cover everything from conceiving your idea to designing your show to creating your final pitch.
Check out the link & tell your friends.

If we’re throwing around great Redford performances I’ll put these four under mentioned gems against his hits any day
DOWNHILL RACER
BIG HOSS & LITTLE FALSEY
THE CANDIDATE
THE ELECTRIC HORSEMAN
What’s great is to some extent he plays a heel in all 4
Toxic privilege:
1) Behaving as if your "transgressive" actions carry no actual risk
2) Believing cruelty is not only allowed but free of consequences as long as it is aim at those outside your privileged group
3) Displaying horror/outrage when 1 & 2 turn out to be false

Reck-Malleczewen blames Nazi rationing for widespread flatulence in Germany: "a result of the gas resulting from pulpy, clay-ey bread. The air in the cafes is pestilential. No one even bothers anymore to hold back his wind."
@joshuarolson I second that recommendation. A formative film of my teen years with one of the most gen x lines ever:
“All the great themes have been used up and turned into theme parks.”
5 unanswered voicemails + 4 unanswered emails (including to the general manager) + 3 calls transferred to the wrong department later... I officially gave up and have decided to take my complaint to social media. DO NOT GET YOUR CAR FROM THESE PEOPLE.
A warning to my followers. Do not get your car at Audi Beverly Hills.
They have no interest in long term customer relationship and look at you only as a pocket to suck money out of as fast as possible. Morality be damned.

I contacted them. And asked them to supply me with the necessary paperwork to contest the fine. I didn't even ask them to deal with it. I asked only for the necessary paperwork.
