“Just keep his head up. He just got caught up in the moment a little bit. Coming down the stretch there, he pitched so well for us. I feel for him because he's putting it all on his shoulders. But we win as a team and we lose as a team.”
Rob Thomson on what he told Orion Kerkering after his error
Legitimately, what are we doing here @MLB?
This no call is the single reason the Dodgers even put a run on the board this inning. Not even exaggerating it changed the complete trajectory of this game. An absolute joke.
🤡 show
The reasons the Phillies lost are many and bountiful. They include, among others, intentionally walking Shohei, swinging at pitches that were balls, and failing to generate offense. Will remember the Kerkering blunder, but I actually thank him for putting me out of my misery.
@Braden_Keith Why would three versus two change the accessibility? It would, in fact, make the best meet in the world more accessible. Not sure I follow the intensity argument either. I think the 100/200 finals are most intense and majority of final makes the team.
@JamesSeltzer look up the top 50 times in the women’s 1500 free - I think Ledecky has the top 25 and, as a percentage from 2nd fastest woman ever, is pretty grossly dominant. As a big sports fan, only better answer I can think of in my life is Tiger Woods.
Did you know: in 1924, 1932, and from 1934-1962, most of the NCAA Championship meet was raced in yards...except for the 1500 meter free, which was sometimes in long course and sometimes in short course.
The NCAA Record holder in the 1500 long course free is George Breen, who was a regular commenter on SwimSwam before his passing in 2019 at age 84.
Frustrating. A painful end to a great season. The holding call was marginal but the scoop and score and the Chiefs’ 65 yard punt return were killers. The Eagles have a bright future with an elite young QB, an excellent coach, and an owner who provides the right
kind of support.
His hand on his back had no effect on his route! This game was too damn good for that call to dictate the outcome at the end. Damn! By the way I have no horse in the race. Just my professional opinion
