⏪ Throwback Thursday...
👊 A look back at Sunderland Women's 4-0 emphatic victory over Chelsea in the WSL1 over a decade ago.
Beth Mead delivered a clinical hat-trick. Firstly, opening the scoring by racing through on goal and calmly finishing into Hedvig Lindahl's bottom corner. She doubled her tally after meeting Brooke Chaplen’s precise through ball, before completing her treble with 18 minutes remaining, tapping in from close range following Vicki Greenwell’s corner.
The Lasses added a fourth when Abbey Holmes’ long-range effort looped over Lindahl to round off a comprehensive win 🤩
🗓️ On this day in 2017...
Beth Mead made her Arsenal debut in a 10-0 win over Spurs. It took her just 9 minutes to score 🤩
