@ShaxNBA Every team scares me until Leon gets us another C E N T E R, but when that happens I’ll be more worried about Toronto and (mainly scarred from) Indiana in the East.
@KnicksNation Bagley III, trade for a young guy for minimal assets for the 3rd string center slot (Diabate, Cardwell, Sorber). After that, I’m guessing they want another small ball big, but I’d also like a little more ball handling.
@BobbyMarks42 If I remember correctly, last year, Yabusele technically signed for slightly less than the TPMLE. To what extent would the Knicks be able to offer someone part of the TPMLE, and then, for example, sign one veteran minimum and one 2nd round pick exception?
@ShaxNBA My silver lining if he gets benched would be hoping that Brown runs more offense through him then, but even when other scoring options are off the floor it doesn’t feel like they rely on him much.
@ShaxNBA How do you feel about Brunson’s 12-minute shifts? I’ve never been a fan of them (or 12-minute shifts generally), but I think it could be harder to stagger his and KAT’s minutes otherwise.
@JLEdwardsIII If we win tomorrow and get a win in OKC with Deuce and Shamet back, that would arguably be the biggest regular-season win of the Randle/Brunson years.
@ShaxNBA I know the schedule has been light, but do you see any changes in his defense that would carry over to the playoffs, if he plays? I also believe he was benched around when they 'simplified' the defense, so I wonder if that will help now that he is back in the rotation.
@ShaxNBA I agree, but I fear we had one shot, one opportunity, to seize everything we ever wanted in one game, and we did not capture it. We let it slip.
@ShaxNBA I am somewhat concerned that the next starting lineup, if there is one, will end up being Shamet in for Bridges. Brown seems more willing to make that switch in general.
@krispursiainen I would just start Shamet until Deuce returns and reconditions. That should make it fairly easy to pull off, since I think they do enough of the same things that switching their spots when Deuce is healthy doesn't really disrupt rotations/lineups.
@ShaxNBA It seemed like most, if not all, of his minutes were paired with Mitch, when I would've thought he would play with KAT or be a small ball big with 4 guys who can shoot. Either way, I don't get having the non-shooter get all his minutes with the other non-shooter in the rotation.
@ShaxNBA@knicksrealist One of my aspirations is that they could emphasize pairing Mikal with our best POA defenders so he can help off-ball while still taking decent assignments, but we can ask more of him on offense as a ball handler/shot creator. I think freeing him up on D makes that a fair ask.
@ShaxNBA Do you think he'll only be used situtationally, or will they try to add him to the rotation? They seemed to really want him on the roster, and he seems to be the replacement for Yabu, who I thought was originally supposed to get minutes even when Mitch was playing.
@IanBegley Hopefully, everything went well for him! The playoffs start in about ten weeks. Ideally, it can be similar to Brunson's situation last year, where he got some games to condition.
