Senior Chief Special Warfare Operator Andrew Craig Honeyman, 39, died on April 12, 2026.

A retired US Navy SEAL, Honeyman served with SEAL Team 5, as a BUD/S instructor, and later as a team leader in the Naval Special Warfare Development Group (DEVGRU). His career included multiple deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan and other locations, three Bronze Stars with Combat Valor, and other decorations.

He retired on August 31, 2025, and was enrolled as a graduate student at Georgetown University. Friends and family said he "tragically" succumbed to post-military trauma after continuing to fight his battles "silently and stoically."
