I was honoured to be decorated by the President and Chairman of Council of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Dr. Ike Neliaku, alongside the Vice President, Professor Emmanuel Dandaura, during the 3rd NIPR Week and 63rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the New Banquet Hall, Government House, Kaduna.
I had the honour of attending a Law School Dinner held in the Nigerian Law School Bwari, Abuja, on Tuesday, 21st April 2026, alongside esteemed colleagues and distinguished members of the Body of Benchers.
As a member of this prestigious body, I remain deeply committed to supporting initiatives that strengthen the rule of law and promote excellence within the legal profession.
Gatherings such as this not only reinforce our shared responsibilities but also foster collaboration in advancing justice and national development.
I commend the Body of Benchers for sustaining this important tradition and for their continued role in shaping the future of legal practice in Nigeria.
Rt. Hon. Bello Muhammad Goronyo Esq;
Honorable Minister of State for Works.
Today, I had the distinct honour of representing the Honourable Minister of Works, Senator Engr. David Umahi, CON at the prestigious Silverbird Extraordinary Personality of the Year Award ceremony.
The event, organised by the Silverbird Group, held on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at Eko Hotels & Suites, brought together top government officials, lawmakers, technocrats, and distinguished stakeholders from across the country.
It was truly a proud moment as the Honourable Minister was recognised for his impactful leadership and transformative contributions to Nigeria’s infrastructure sector.
This award reflects the bold reforms, innovative construction approaches, and strong commitment he has consistently demonstrated in driving the largest road infrastructure push in our nation’s history.
From the 750km Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway to the 1,068km Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway, the Trans-Sahara corridor linking Calabar through Ebonyi and Benue to Abuja, and the 420km Akwanga–Jos–Bauchi–Gombe–Borno corridor, the scale of intervention across the six geopolitical zones remains unprecedented.
In his characteristic humility, the Minister directed that the award be dedicated to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, whose strong political will and infrastructure-focused vision have made these achievements possible.
He also dedicated it to the management and staff of the Ministry of Works, as well as our hardworking contractors nationwide.
This recognition is not a moment of rest, but renewed motivation for us at the Ministry to continue delivering durable, sustainable, and people-oriented infrastructure for national development.
Grateful for the opportunity to serve and to be part of this transformative journey. Thank you.
