An unbelievable atmosphere last night and amazing to make my debut. Buzzing to have scored as well but couldn’t have done it without my incredible teammates who have helped bring me into this team. Thank you so much to everyone for making this a night to remember #RBNY
“A fiduciary responsibility” 😒 but not a moral responsibility to the fans who wait and save for years to watch just one match and will probably never have the opportunity again.
USMNT legend Alexi Lalas recently appeared on FOX News, where he was asked if he’s worried die-hard fans are missing out a chance to attend the World Cup because of wildly expensive ticket prices.
“I would love if all the tickets were free, and everybody who wanted to go to a World Cup game could,” Lalas answered.
“Obviously, that's a little idealistic, and that's certainly not going to happen.
“I think you'd agree with me that in life and in business, balance is important.
“Sure you know on one side, you have to look at FIFA, and they say they have a fiduciary responsibility, and they do to raise money that's going to pay for the next four year cycle, and more than 80% of all of the programs for all of their different members, and that's important.
“But also, you don't want to kill the golden goose, and this is on our watch.
“And so if the stands aren't full, if it's perceived as not a successful World Cup, FIFA is going to move on.
“And I think this is just a warning to all of us. It's going to be a reflection on me, on you, on the sport of soccer, on our country, and yes, on President Trump and he's going to go down, I'm convinced, as the soccer president.
“There’s never been more soccer that's emanated from the White House in the Oval Office and I love that he's engaged.
“But again, it's going to be a reflection on him, and you don't want to be the guy that messed up the World Cup.
“I think it’s gonna be not just a great World Cup, not just the biggest World Cup in history, but one of the biggest cultural events in the history.”
NEW: The #USL has enjoyed a decade of dominating the lower league landscape. Since 2015, 20 of its independent clubs have folded - the latest just two weeks before the 2026 season.
Is the USL’s structure built to handle even more jeopardy with pro/rel?

@FutPoliceLeaks Whoever is making the TOTW decisions hates Chelsea. Reece James should’ve gotten a TOTW against Arsenal a couple weeks ago and now Gusto doesn’t get in with 1G + 1A + Clean Sheet…
the fact that this is even needed? what the fuck is going on. for the past decade the general public has been hell-bent on exposing the ‘secret pedo rings of hollywood’ or the ‘secret pedo rings of the media’ and now that we have ACTUAL evidence of pedophilia and sex crimes committed by some of the richest and most powerful people in the world… it’s crickets? it has to be VOTED on to be pursued? it requires an AD CAMPAIGN? release the damn files and arrest the people necessary already, i feel like we’re all living in hell.
The Commissioner makes club history 🫡
Congratulations to Ben Mines, who tallied his 10th assist across all competitions against Phoenix Rising FC this past weekend❗️
Mines is the first player in club history to record double-digit assists in a single season 🔴⚪️
🚨 #BREAKING: DC District Court rules President Trump’s firing of the United States Institute of Peace (USIP) Board of Directors was beyond his authority, declaring it null & void.
🇺🇸 The court also voids the transfer of USIP’s $500M headquarters to the GSA and invalidates appointments of DOGE staffers as USIP leaders.
Elections mean nothing when courts control all! The judicial branch towers over Congress & the President! #USIP #JudicialPower #Trump

The guy isn't in politics. Nobody voted for him. He didn't do shit. Stole a shit ton of data. Government spending is actually up. Ruined the careers of 1000s of people and then decided "meh" not for me. Doesn't matter if he leaves the Trump administration tomorrow. He made his bed.
Also, when you are a fascist everything looks to be the left of you.
What an absolute piece of shit.
Rubio and Hegseth have installed a twenty-something DOGE affiliate, Nate Cavanaugh, as acting president of the U.S. Institute of Peace, per court filing.
Before DOGE took control of USIP, the president was George Moose, a career diplomat who joined the foreign service in 1967.
@CelticsUnite18 You forget that these are the teams the Celtics struggle against the most😂 somehow the Wizards will give us a battle all the way into the 4th
Thank you again for all the outpouring of love for our Ben. I can’t tell you how much it means to me and my family.
He wasn’t just my best friend – he was America’s best friend ❤️
