This is why we have our hospital. Without it the leg would never have been treated and she’d be alone on the streets.

The great news is this was her 24 hours after the leg came off.

She hadn’t been using it for 6 months probably anyway so if anything there is huge relief there (5/6)

I’ve never met a better patient. With all the tests complete she had to wait for her blood results to improve.

The vets made the decision amputation was the best course of action (4/6)

We brought her in as I thought it was a broken leg or maybe a big abscess.

Unfortunately after testing we found it was cancer (3/6)

Pepper is well fed by locals. She keeps a low profile and is generally healthy.

But 4 weeks ago I spotted her hobbling. It was much worse than I initially thought (2/6)

This is pepper. She once had an owner but they left her behind and went back to their country.

She lived on the street for years but recently had an issue. We’re trying to transform her life for her (1/6)

I think this is one of the hardest six-month stretches of my life coming up, between funding the hospital, getting it built, staffed, and creating all the protocols that we need to launch it.

We really are starting to head towards the home stretch now. I have to be honest if it wasn't for Tina I don't think we would have got this far. It's a phenomenally hard thing to do to build a hospital in Thailand but every single day I wake up in the morning and I think of Tina. It pushes myself and the whole team forwards to create something incredible for these street dogs.

She's lost 5kg or well over 10lbs in 4 weeks. All down to...

Crossing my fingers it’s a very deep infection. Have seen similar before.

It will take us a couple of days to get to the bottom of it.

Locals will often have very limited financial resources and limited knowledge.

They had some simple dog medicines they were trying. Cheap but totally wrong. He is safe in our hospital and pain relief and cleaning will start (5/6)

We take the stories at face value. The vets will get to work first thing in the morning.

I genuinely don’t think this was cruelty or anything malicious. The people were super upset and crying thinking he was at the end (4/6)

When I say detectives we have to figure out what the story is.

The owners told us skin cancer, have been to 3 vets. Nobody can fix it and they are at their wits end with limited resources (3/6)

We looked for 24 hours in a panic. I couldn’t get the dog out of my head.

My gut was a local came into town to get help, tied him up to get dinner and then went home. Turned out to be right

We often have to act like detectives. This dog was shared last night and about 100 people sent it to me.

We got there within 20 minutes but he had already been taken away by a “man”.

We knew we had to find him today… (1/6) 🧵

When we found Maximus he was on a chain and about to die of malnutrition. He was in agony and starved of attention.

Last night his new owners threw him a birthday party.

It still blows my mind to see the dogs we save in new homes.

Little Bambino was tiny and in a bad old state when I came across him one Sunday morning.

Look at him now living the life in England as a big lovely boy ❤️

9 weeks ago she was poisoned as a puppy in Thailand. She lost all power in her limbs.

Today she was getting some very good news.
