@meekonucheojo@Ataijesa its a show, actually, and we're talking about how the velaryons aren't pictured in the game of thrones show but they are in the books. aurane is a character in the books, thats why you don't see him in the show, and don't hear any mention of the velaryons
@meekonucheojo@Ataijesa in the main series, monford velaryon is lord, he declares for stannis, dies in the battle of the blackwater, his young son monterys becomes lord. monford's bastard brother aurane becomes cersei's master of ships; cersei fancies him since he reminds her of rhaegar
@Ataijesa who the hell is "corly varlaryon"?? anyway, monford velaryon declares for stannis, dies during the battle of the blackwater, his young son monterys becomes Lord. Monford's bastard brother Aurane Waters becomes Cersei's master of ships. theyre no longer a prominent house.
@simplytargaryen@gigsreputation@milwwstars it...doesn't matter. this is what they did in the show. they completely cut out nettles taming sheepstealer. so yes, when it's rhaena claiming him, it's realistic that he'd act the way he's acting. because they decided to fuck shit up
@roverondee@sunfyred vhagar didn't listen because aemond's emotions were all over the place and affecting vhagar, and vhagar is an old granny and a war dragon, obviously some shit's gonna go wrong
@sunfyred sheepstealer is a wild, untrained, untested dragon being thrust into battle for the first time. he didn't grow up with his rider or around other dragons.
@lorxell ...she didnt "control" them. she had a mother-child bond with them. completely different from a dragonrider/dragon bond, which she only had with Drogon. her bond with her dragons is unprecedented.
@babaekaro@paloma_datgirl fire CAN kill a dragon and very much has in the past. this is just something viserys probably said to dany which she repeated... but this isnt fire, its fuckin molten gold
@Daykerpriest@paloma_datgirl@Ofcimcold there are no fireproof targaryens. the thing with dany surviving the pyre was a one-time event because of dragon and blood magic. the thing with the khals doesn't and won't happen in the books. it's made up for the show
