if you want to rage bait yourself listen to this, or any live performance, and then listen to some of the vocalists people list when they're arguing we still have singers like this.
Yeah no Hip Hop businesswoman since 1987 here … I’ve been active every year since in mainstream as well as independent and working with very underground Hip Hop and Rap artists and labels
Have never had a year where I was not involved in Vinyl work ever. Most of the same DJs I’ve known since the 80s and 90s are still doing live vinyl sets and playing actual vinyl LPs and singles on their radio shows. Because they never stopped.
It would be crazy to try to erase Hip Hip and Rap from the history of Vinyl-based music globally from the 1970s to present
Implied or inferred from context of the below is that punk or dance music aren’t rooted in African-American and Diasporic music history and culture.
In Vinyl as in all things music attempting to leave out Black music in general is wild work.
Happy #BlackMusicMonth to ALL of those who celebrate & recognize and particularly to those who do not.
Good morning! I am asking for help staying housed another month while I continue looking for work. I need to raise $2500 and need to raise $1600 of it by Friday. Anything helps, even a share. Thank you 🙏🏽🖤

My girl and my sister keep sending me colleges that have a Sociology of Hip-Hop classes because they want me to teach it.
I would get fired because I would have the class write a ten page paper on “Mr. Nigga” by Mos Def.
