Hey @ericbolling great deal of respect for you. This however is what I’ll call “cultural ignorance.” Here MVP is at Essence Fest in New Orleans. (Google it) She is referring to scripture. I’ll point you to Psalm 30:5. WEEPING MAY ENDURE FOR A NIGHT, BUT JOY COMETH IN THE MORNING.

For many black folk due to the systemic inequities and obstacles we face our culture is defined by this scripture. As some of your friends continue to roll back rights etc we weep, but our culture is defined by the joy we know cometh in the morning.
