New 7th grade GPS (Guides to Personal Success) leaders are already stepping into their leadership roles! This week they helped welcome 5th grade students from our different elementary schools as they learned what middle school is like and toured the building.

Multicultural/STEAM Creativity Fair brought the building to life with energy, talent, and community—featuring incredible student STEAM projects, food, live rock band performances, powerful spoken word, a beautiful Hmong dance, and the BP Lion's Drumline. A memorable night!
We welcomed a professional clay artist, Rhonda Willers to work with students in a unique, hands-on experience. Students participated in a guided session focused on mindfulness, meditation, and gratitude using clay as a creative outlet. #bmssteambulldogs#ainsteam
6 MN Studies are diving into hands-on engineering with the STEAM Water Wheel Challenge using the engineering design process! Students designed and built their own water wheels, using flowing rice to generate enough energy to lift weight—problem-solving skills to the test.
7th graders had a great day exploring the MN Zoo! Students observed animal habitats, behaviors, and adaptations up close, bringing their learning to life.
Next up, they’ll take what they’ve learned and begin designing and engineering their own habitats!
8th grade students participated in a mock trial of Hernán Cortés, taking on roles as attorneys, jurors, members of the Aztec community, and Cortés’s men to debate the actions and impact of Cortés during the Spanish conquest using historical evidence. #HistoryComesAlive
6th graders had a great day at the MN History Center! After learning about MN in class, students explored the exhibits and brought their learning to life—discovering the people, places, and events that shaped our state. #steamexperiences#bmssteambulldogs

8th grade Culinary and Unified FACS classes, rolled up their sleeves to make a difference! Students worked together to prepare and donate homemade lasagnas to Lasagna Love, an organization that supports local families with a warm, hearty meal when it’s needed most.
