The Grand Egyptian Museum. Last stop on this trip. The main galleries aren’t open yet, just the entrance hall but it’s so vast you need a couple of hours just to see the large stone pieces on the stairs…

Just back from a fantastic week exploring sites in the Faiyum with an @AWTours group. Getting around involves quite a bit of driving in the desert - requiring 4x4s provided by old friends of AWT’s, Pan Arab Tours - with all the fun and stunning landscapes that involves….
