I am excited to be back at Bluestone Middle School and even more excited to be the principal. It's going to be a challenging year for us all due to our new normal, but I'm looking forward to working with the staff and students to make this an exciting year filled with enthusiasm.

Posted below is the After School Remediation letter. Please have your child pick one up in the office or ask any core teacher for a form. The program will begin on March 17th and run through April 30th. Activities will take place on Tuesday and Thursday.
Our team, Ice Busters, won first place middle level for the Technical Challenge called The Big Fix! They had to think of a problem to solve, then make something technical to solve their problem. They chose the problem of Earth being frozen, and made a "heat ray' to melt the ice.

Career Investigations has guest speakers coming in regularly to discuss career opportunities for 6th and 7th graders. guest. In January, they spoke with the Chief Ranger at Occoneechee State Park and an investigator with the Mecklenburg Sheriff Office.
2nd Semester 8th grade Science students conducted a Red Cabbage Juice Lab on Wednesday, January 15. Students used the scientific method to investigate independent and dependent variables, controls, and constants during the lab.
