The full investor list hasn’t been officially revealed yet, but Lighter already shows up in Coatue’s portfolio on their website. Coatue is known for specializing in U.S. equities and making big money from unicorns like OpenAI. They don’t invest in many crypto projects, but when they do, they usually come in heavy at later stages — typically around $100M, and sometimes even over $500M.

The Lighter CEO is a heavyweight himself, with strong ties in politics as well as connections with the Hyperliquid circle. With that kind of network, scale, and benchmarking, the project is positioned really well.

With Lighter’s open beta launching soon, I think we’ll start seeing a wave of catalysts. And judging by the caliber of investors (already including a16z and Craft VC), I’m pretty sure they’ve raised a huge funding round.

Personally, I’m already using Lighter for live trading. But if they do a TGE this year, I’m expecting a massive airdrop profit from it. Let’s ride this together! 🚀
