There seems to be a mixed response here at #hubumun ... some states are keen to debate and resolve the issue of cultural genocide, but others appear hesitant, citing it as ‘not a significant problem’. Maybe their own violent history is to blame for their resistance?
Iraq is fully committed to working with the UN in order to prevent and resolve issues of cultural genocide. The delegate for Iraq also stresses the importance of member states to get on board. #hubumun
