@fesshole What were you inking? Did you really ink that a married man that likes to slot his cartridge in your dot matrix would leave his wife sooner or laser?
I'd check your fax next time before committing to another print job...
@MusharafAsghar Remember that episode to this day, I literally stood up in my living room and applauded when you got up and recited that poem.
Keep keepin' on Mushy, you inspired a nation that day.
Liz Truss was just an extreme example of what the Tories always do:
- Cut taxes for the rich
- Push "trickle down" economics
- Slash our public services
The Tories always put the super-rich first. And ordinary people always pay the price!
We need to kick them all out!
I know Rugby Union relies on different skill sets compared to Rugby League but the quality of the basics in Rugby Union such as passing, catching and tackling are incredibly poor
A reminder that Norway has a £1 trillion + wealth fund for ordinary people, built over years by taxing fossil fuel giants at 78%.
Last year Norway collected $89bn in tax from fossil fuel giants.
They then used the fund to pay people’s energy bills.
That’s the alternative way.
@fesshole I have a work colleague with the surname Rowland. When I leave them a voicemail, I start it the same way, in the voice of Janet from Grange Hill and say 'Rowwwwwwland!'
Makes me smile every time.
I'm 49.
Wages don’t cause inflation, profiteering does.
Your energy bills didn’t double or treble this year because they doubled energy workers wages. Your energy bills went through the roof because energy corporations pocketed monster profits.
Nationalise energy. Tax profiteers.
A firm founded by Rishi Sunak’s father-in-law signed a billion-dollar deal with BP just two months before the PM opened up hundreds of new licences for oil and gas extraction in the North Sea.
Pick the bones out of that.
Here's what I don't get.
All Labour has to do is say they'll shut down on their first day in office all new oil and gas projects that were greenlit between 1 August 2023 and the GE, and no firm will touch the available licences with a barge pole.
It's really that simple.
@BowTiedOx My youngest kid starts high school in September, I've already told him to look at what everyone else is wearing...and to do it better. Not to an extreme, but 5-10% better. He'll stand out without even trying.
My quote of the day
"By announcing hundreds of new oil and gas licences, the prime minister, Rishi Sunak, has become a “dangerous radical” pursuing “moral and economic madness”
United Nations secretary general, António Guterres.
This is what has happened UK Wholesale Gas Prices in the last year.
They have completely, totally & utterly collapsed.
Your bills are £1,000 higher since then.
Got to give it to the Tory Party, despite their policies benefiting less than 1% of the population they still manage to convince 25% of the electorate to keep supporting them. The UK’s longest running scam!
•One onshore wind turbine under construction since Sunak became PM
•100 new licenses for oil & gas extraction granted
•UK Emissions Scheme changed to allow more pollution of CO₂
•Regular travel by private jet & helicopter
Sunak couldn’t care any less about the climate.
Mexico fitted 19,000 solar panels on a single day. That’s nearly 7 million a year. That’s nearly 35 million per parliament.
Politicians in the UK will never allow this because solar is 8 times cheaper than gas. They will never allow you access to cheaper energy. It hurts profits
