Combating anti-Semitism and advocating for global Jewry since 1843. Defending Israel and advancing human rights. The global voice of the Jewish community. 🎗️
B’nai B’rith has proudly launched the Daniel S. Mariaschin Institute for Leadership and Public Policy, named in honor of our retiring CEO, whose decades of leadership have shaped our global voice on human rights, diplomacy and Jewish communal advocacy.
During a gala tribute in his honor, Mariaschin reflected: “I am particularly grateful to B’nai B’rith, its officers, board members, colleagues and friends, for the special tribute on the occasion of my retirement. It has given Michal and me an opportunity to say a heartfelt ‘thank you’ in person, for the privilege of working at B’nai B’rith for 38 years and leading it for 27.”
He added: “Thank you for giving a guy from a tiny Jewish community in New Hampshire the tremendous opportunity to serve…the Jewish people writ large.”

An important development out of the Organization of American States.
The Permanent Council of @OAS_official adopted a resolution recognizing Jan. 27 as “International Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust.”
We commend Argentina for proposing the resolution, which was backed by more than 10 countries and approved unanimously. This is a key affirmation of the importance of Holocaust education. #OAS
“For the Jewish people, this is a defining moment.”

We remain justifiably skeptical that Iran—the largest and most active state sponsor of terror around the world—will adhere to any of the provisions outlined in the Memorandum of Understanding signed on June 17 between the United States and Iran.

The U.N.’s anti-Israel Commission of Inquiry’s (COI) Chris Sidoti urges U.N. member states to think of any Israeli who served in the IDF during the war imposed by Hamas on Oct. 7 as a “suspect” for committing “war crimes.”
The goal of the anti-Israel movement is not only to see Israel’s political or military leaders being hounded by the ICC, but also to see everyday citizens being persecuted by third countries. This isn’t about international law or rules or norms; in fact, it’s about breaking these norms. And the U.N. seems to be more than willing to lead the anti-Semitic charge.
UN Rep Chris Sidoti Calls to Target Israeli Dual Citizens: “Malaysia raised the question of dual citizens. Anyone who served in the IDF in Gaza since October 2023 must be considered a suspect for the commission of war crimes, crimes against humanity, and the crime of genocide.”
“No deal with Iran should deny Israel the right to defend itself,” B’nai B’rith CEO Daniel S. Mariaschin told @JNS_org regarding the reported deal between the U.S. and Iran.
“Whether or not this agreement succeeds lies in strict verification and intrusive enforcement. Given Iran’s 47-year history of deceit and deception, its secretive nuclear program and its role as paymaster and armorer of terrorist proxies, monitoring this agreement cannot be passive.” https://t.co/4RdBW9jYud
The @UN Secretary-General "strongly" condemned Israel's strike against Hezbollah's command center in Beirut but was curiously silent about the earlier terrorist group's attacks on northern Israel that precipitated the IDF action.
Days ago, he posted that the UN's "promise" is that, "when bombs fall...someone will reach out a hand." Unless, it seems, those bombs fall on Israelis, in which case it will be ignored or, even worse, justified.
Hezbollah is making a mockery of peace. On the day the U.S. and Iran will supposedly sign a peace agreement, tens of thousands of Israelis are sheltering from expected Iranian rocket attacks.
We support Israelis directly impacted, and all of Israel, as Iran’s ongoing effort to “wipe Israel off the map” never ends. IDF defensive strikes against Hezbollah are justified to keep Israelis safe.

Anne Frank was born in Frankfurt on June 12, 1929. On this very same day in 1942, on her 13th birthday, she began writing in her diary.
She wrote: “I can shake off everything as I write; my sorrows disappear, my courage is reborn.”
Her courage, optimism and faith in humanity will forever inspire us.

🏅 We’re honored to present our Upstander Award to @PGATOUR golfer Max Greyserman for standing proudly and publicly with Israel—and for calling out anti-Semitism when it would have been easier to stay quiet.
When Greyserman teed off at Augusta National during the first round of the Masters this year, he did so repping @Athletes4Israel. A quiet detail, but a loud statement.
Off the course, he puts his values into action. Greyserman has organized celebrity golf auctions and fundraisers for the Youth Renewal Fund, which supports innovative education for underprivileged communities in Israel.
A proud Jewish athlete on the international stage, he’s chosen to use his platform for something larger than the game. He embodies what it means to be an Upstander.
With gratitude and admiration, Mazal tov, Max Greyserman! 👏
What does it mean to be Jewish? That’s a fundamental question B’nai B’rith asked Jewish leaders and changemakers as part of our #0dot2 Initiative, launched ahead of our 175th anniversary.
With more than 15 million Jews worldwide—just 0.2% of the global population—the initiative took its name from that small but significant figure.
Through the project, we sought to spark conversations about Jewish identity, educate audiences about Judaism, proactively combat anti-Semitism and highlight the Jewish connection to the State of Israel.
In our first video, CEO Daniel S. Mariaschin shared his thoughts. Watch here: https://t.co/YSQlBswIBZ
It’s a new anti-Israel Commission of Inquiry—COI—(with the exception of Chris Sidoti), but it’s the same old drivel. The COI’s new report once again engages in false moral equivalencies between Hamas terrorists and Israel.
The COI is unwilling to look solely at Hamas atrocities against Israelis and Palestinian civilians if it cannot also try to balance it out with biased attacks on Israel.
