Heaven’s King has made His home in fragile people.
He walked with me, went before me, forgave me, guarded me and waited at the end of the road. Still, some hidden part of me treated the Christian life like a lonely climb, as if Jesus had saved me and then left me to manage my own heart and carry my own weakness.
Paul calls the mystery of grace, “Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27).
Christ in you.
That phrase feels like a door opening in a dark house. Jesus is not shouting commands from the far edge of the field. By His Spirit, the risen Christ has taken residence in the person He purchased with His blood.
Grace does not leave the house empty..Christ lives there!
That means I do not walk into temptation alone. I do not carry grief with an empty soul or face another ordinary morning with only good intentions and Christian words.
Some days I still pray like Jesus is far away.
Then Scripture lays its hand on my shoulder and tells me the truth.
He is nearer than my next breath.
He is in me.
Dear Lord, Heavenly Father, on this 1st day of a new month, turn our thoughts to what is holy and away from all fear, that we may forever live in the light of Your love. In Your infinite generosity, please grant us Your continued graces and blessing throughout the coming month. Guide us by Your Holy Spirit that our light may shine before others, give birth to a new spiritual life within them, and to bestow a desire to know God, to draw near to Him, and to have a loving relationship with Him. Our blessings are many and our hearts filled with gratefulness for the gift of living, for the ability to love and be loved, for a mind that thinks and a body that feels, for the opportunity to see the everyday wonders of creation, but most of all for Your gift of salvation and Your unconditional and eternal love. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray, Amen 🙏✝️

Unusually good piece of legal journalism on the investigation into Miranda's Rescue here. She's got background from the neighbor who discovered a mass grave there, and information from the search warrant affidavits. He's been lying, everyone knew what was happening, and the feds did get involved.
Seems like a matter of time until charges drop - they're putting in a massive amount of forensic work, likely because ID'ing the dogs will help them prove if he received money for taking them and if they had any documented health or behavioral problems when they arrived.

Good Evening, Friends!
📚We have decided to add a "Used Book Store" Section to the website.
We've got some books up already. Most books will be about health, gardening, herbal remedies, cooking, homesteading, nutrition, crafting, and DIY.
Most of the books are like new and are around $5 and under.
This is a good way for us to clear some clutter ( I have boxes and boxes of books, I'm a maniac 🤣) and earn some extra money.
I will continue adding books here and there until the end of time. Thank you for READING! 😁😁😁♥️

UPDATE: Brian’s sister, Kristie Smith Hall, shared this update:
“His sister here, we are so thankful. May my family never forget this and always serve others back just as we were raised to do! ❤️ Brian’s getting a drain tube at UAB in Birmingham. I’m headed to get him some fishing clothes that will fit and start counting down! Love to everyone!”
Yesterday, legendary meteorologist James Spann shared Brian’s family’s story and their hope of making his final wish come true: one last deep sea fishing trip after being placed on hospice care following a battle with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Within just a few hours, Captain Alex McDuffie of Zeke’s stepped up to make that wish a reality.
I highly recommend following James Spann. He’s not only one of the nation’s most trusted meteorologists, but he also regularly shares stories that bring communities together and help people in need. Brian’s story is a great example of the positive impact social media can have. ❤️
I have awful news...
A North Carolina mother of two and postal worker has been kidnapped and m*rdered in rural North Carolina while out delivering mail.
Her name was Brandi Reynolds, she had two little girls who are now orphaned because sadly they also lost their dad 6 months ago.
Brandi was a rural mail carrier in Wilkes County, NC.
On Friday afternoon, while she was working her route, police say William Craig Durham restrained her, took her against her will, and sh0t her to death inside a vehicle.
Brandi was already a widow. Her husband Brent passed away in a car crash on December 23rd. Two days before Christmas.
She had spent the last six months raising their two daughters alone.
In her own words, those girls were "the reason I get up every morning. What makes life worth living."
And now those two little girls have no mother and no father.
Please pray for these two girls, Bayla and Addy...
I cannot imagine losing both parents.
I pray that this evil man is brought to justice SWIFTLY!!!

You're not responsible for fixing the whole world. You are responsible for your own heart.
It's tempting to wait for someone else—some leader, some institution—to set things right. But real change starts in the one life God has actually placed in your hands.

A woman who was swimming with her friend and boyfriend in the Econlockhatchee River in Florida was severely bitten by an alligator on Sunday. On the 911 call, the victim's friend tells the dispatcher that the alligator nearly removed both her arms.
The victim later died at the hospital, CBS News' @cbenavidesTV reports. This was the third alligator attack in the state this week. Wildlife officials say the reptiles are active and perhaps more aggressive right now because it is their mating season.
UPDATE: Earlier today, James Spann shared a heartfelt message from Brian’s family asking for help making his final wish come true: one last deep sea fishing trip after being placed on hospice care following a battle with stage 4 pancreatic cancer.
Just a couple of hours later, that wish has become a reality.
Captain Alex McDuffie of Zeke’s has volunteered to take Brian out on the Sea Hunter this Friday morning for what will be Brian’s final fishing trip.
Brian’s family says they are extremely grateful to everyone who reached out with offers to help make Brian’s last wish come true. ❤️
