Yeah there is a side to Chinese people, the culture itself itself is goldmining..., this is a civilization of over 3,500 years and over 2000 years of central bureaucracy... a civilization that built wall of China... so their fall was just a moment in time...
The second frame buttress my arguments about continous, Research, data generation, interpretation and reinterpretation, discussion and employment of tools that are dynamic... you can't get all these from policy documents, you can only get this from ingenious and hardworks...
Full Speech of the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr Taiwo Oyedele at the 7th Africa Emerging Markets Forum in Abuja today.
This is probably the clearest explanation yet on subsidy removal, borrowing, fiscal reforms, where the money is going and what comes next in the push for jobs and economic prosperity. Taiwo Oyedele explains it all. Every Nigerian should watch it.
CBN Is not the reason interest rates are high and loans are unobtainable, inflation is.
Quiz: You're a bank manager - If inflation is 15% and you think it might go to 20% or 30, what interest rate would you charge for a 5 or 10 year loan to make a positive return?
@akintonmide On subsidy, ow can Nig. use subsidy if it needs to be used, exit, strategy, duration, for who, when &how, the details of this tool to Nigeria would not be in public policy doc. thats why we need to invest money, time, brain, spits in this conversation, we are too intuitive with gov
@akintonmide My argument is now thus... e.g within Nigeria now as an emerging market, the gov., academics, Nigerians, need to invest in scientific research that could enhance the workablities of those policies within our border, how can policy tools could be use in Nigeria.
@akintonmide No, not at all, im at this point that even my opinion is silent... what im more interested is a scientific and well research solution oriented... it doesn't have to suit me infact it better I hear alternative argument that I can reason over, thats why its a continuous discussion
@akintonmide 2. 'Let me put it to you' what's the best policy to feeding growing Nigeria population ? From consumption to production as industrial policy? Export led growth, SMEs or labor intensive corp. as solution to unemployment, what's the policy for agriculture for dev. Etc...
@akintonmide Conversation is continuous at best, development economic and its tools are not once size fits all, even withing emerging markets, there is need for further research of what fit each economic better... so most conversations happening are happening outside the emerging markets...
LOL, On average, the total direct annual expenditure dedicated to feeding U.S. service members is roughly $7 billion to $9 billion...while Nigeria total budget for military is $2.1 billion.
@Oladayo_Adenubi@eta_habyb Yeah, rightly said, just dont think Nigeria government and Nigerians are matured enough to systematically allow for a system that is tax-revenue dependency and direct surplus from resources to SWF/investment.
