5: Chase Armistead
Chase went from the mid-70s with major command struggles to sitting 83-85 and topping 87 with dramatically improved control. In just 10 months, he jumped 75–87 mph and is now in a position to make varsity at a big high school in Tennessee.

In the past couple of weeks:
-Tread has had multiple coaches throwing mid-upper 90's (staff competition next month, we expect some triple digits).
-An undrafted player who was preparing for grad school (never over mid 90's) touched 99.5 & signed. He became our 55th FA signee in 2025.
-Randomly walk out on the floor yesterday and see a college pitcher hit 106.5 on a pull-down. Over in the pitching lab, another free agent was hitting 98+ in a bullpen for the first time.
-Tons of college commitments each week.
-Dozens and dozens already penciled in for our January Pro Day.
-Multiple parents coming up to me and saying how skeptical they were of the remote/hybrid model and how Tread has changed their sons' careers.
-Tons of internal projects firing on all cylinders.
Things get fun this time of year.
✅ Throws 99+ at Tread HQ
✅ Signs with the @Cubs just days later
Congrats to @MettertSam on signing with the Chicago Cubs! ✍️
Check out his electric bullpen from last Friday. ⚡️

A lot of pitchers think they need a complete mechanical overhaul after a single bad outing. In the vast majority of cases, it's nothing more than poor execution.
Stay the course.
Check out Paul Skenes' mechanics in his worst outing vs. his best. Basically identical. ⬇️
Pitchers, there’s a lot of information out there, but also a lot of bashing of coaches and philosophies on who’s “right” and “wrong.”
My take… find a coach who you have a great relationship with and can trust and I can almost guarantee you’ll see growth.
What an experience to pitch in the 2025 Colt World Series! Ended up going 2 1/3 innings with 1K and 2BB against a pretty good Palmview, Texas team. Also hit a personal record of 84 MPH while sitting 77-81 MPH
