A 4 pack outta 5 that I posted over on IG Here’s the caption; it’s a long read. I’m sure a majority of you here know but me allow me to reintroduce myself, my name is J.R. Wideman. I’ve been fortunate enough over the years to stick to my guns and be able to make my hobbies & interests a direct line to my career path. An athlete growing up but some of you know I co-hosted an incredible hip hop radio show over a 5 year span at @thecomeupshow with an industry legend @chedotcus. I’ve spent over 15 years in sneaker retail, content creation & collecting. I graduated from @fanshawecollege for Interactive Media Design & Production and that opened my eyes (and doors) for me to focus on what I want to do for the rest of my life. I grew up in a small ass town and was chronically online diving further into my interests. I was the kid who had all the good new music (the day after it was released), the kid who knew all the latest brands & styles, the kid who was glued to BET & MuchMusic dreaming that one day I’d live near Queen & John. Now that I’ve been living that dream of living downtown Toronto - that’s lead to numerous achievements…helping to co-manage Canada’s only @jumpman23 retail store…306 Yonge, helping brands launch within the legal cannabis market in 2018….Successfully becoming a freelance photographer prior to the pandemic (I’m still over at @jrwidemancreativeservices ). Helping numerous brands & establishments with photography, marketing and social media management ( @footactiontoronto @footlockercanada @brntdesigns @queenstreetwest @zackesaumedia @jeeter @mytoqi @kind_magazine and many more.) My latest achievement (which most of you know now) was helping ideate, create, produce, host, & manage the social media community we gathered over at @ebaysneakers I’m now a free agent - searching for that next notch on the belt. Searching for a position that will allow for another achievement or another cool moment, activation, launch party, etc. Searching for the next brand who needs a catch 🙂. Cause I know I am one! To say I can wear many hats would be an understatement. Swiss Army Knife is a better description.
