If you don't read anything as a young person, please read 50 Cent's chapter on fearlessness in his book "Hustle Harder, Hustle Smarter".

Fear can ruin your life. In a continent where opportunities are scarce, fear drastically reduces your chances even more. If you don't put yourself out there, no matter how good you are, you won't get what you deserve.

A lot of us are scared to fail so after a few attempts, we don't try again. Steve Jobs said if you are scared to fail, you won't go far. That is so true.

Behind your fear is freedom. That beautiful and fit partner, that lovely job, and start up opportunity. It is yours, but you are scared to ask.

The first time I went to the US Embassy, my legs were shaking. Even though I had fully funded scholarship, the way I talked, I bet the guy thought my letters were fake.

The first day I came out to speak publicly I forgot my lines. Even though I had the best practice. But in all failures, I kept trying.

My student visas were denied 7 times, today I move like a bird.

I dropped out of school 3 times, but I went back again at age 30.

Today I am getting speaking engagements regularly.

Being poor and scared is a very terrible combination. Please don't let fear ruin your life. Try again. It won't kill you, it will make you stronger.
