Thanks to the Working Families Tax Cuts, Republicans secured a new $6,000 tax deduction for Americans 65 and older, in addition to the extra standard deduction they already receive under current law.

This provision delivers significant tax relief for older Americans and Pennsylvania seniors, helping them keep more of what they earn and the savings they worked a lifetime to build!

“Every day gets better for us,” Chuck Schumer says as he celebrates his party’s decision to keep the government shut down.

Better for who, exactly?

Certainly not for the hundreds of thousands of service members, border patrol agents, air-traffic controllers, TSA agents, U.S. Capitol Police officers, and other federal workers going without pay. Not for the entrepreneur who can’t access much needed small business loans. Not for the American travelers facing airport delays across the country.

Only someone so completely out of touch could make such a callous and tone-deaf remark, especially while the government remains shut down, held hostage by the very people now celebrating the crisis they created.
