Minister Lecce, since 1989 I have been either a student or an educator in Ontario. I think that I would have noticed missing over 6 years of school days. 😐
#OntEd#onpoli
Since Stephen was 3, apparently kids have missed 2246 DAYS of classes due to strike.
I call on Stephen Lecce to show the data on this latest claim. And please show data for CUPE as well
There is no room for this type of hyperbole
We value all of our staff and recognize the important contributions of our CUPE staff. We support a fairly negotiated settlement as the path forward, and not a legislated and imposed collective agreement on staff and Boards. Hoping for positive news today.
#OntEd teachers are being directed to report to schools which may not have potable water or proper ventilation, in order to work remotely. Not mentioned, but I assume that bathrooms will not be cleaned nor have soap or toilet paper replenished.

Barrie voters shouldn't wait to cast their ballot: City clerk https://t.co/siCHHHGYea via @barrietoday
Let’s say it again: if you want to support students to “catch up” in their learning, you don’t remove funding from publicly funded education system & give it out privately as no-strings attached funding. You invest directly in classroom supports, including staffing #OntEd#OnPoli
Not sold on phone and online voting?
Here's where the Barrie Votes Bus will be today.
- 9–11am: Georgian College, 1 Georgian Drive
- Noon–2pm: North Barrie Crossing, 547 Cundles Road East
- 3–5pm: Zehrs, 11 Bryne Drive
- 6–8pm: Walmart Superstore Barrie North, 450 Bayfield Street
I have seen @ONeducation catch up plan on TV & heard it on radio so many times this week, I’m wondering how much this advertising campaign is costing Ontario taxpayers versus actually investing in #OntEd publicly funded public education system. Does anyone know? #OnPoli@Sflecce
