the toyota gr gt3 is an fia gt3 race car built around a 4.0l twin turbo v8, with the engine mounted up front and power sent to the rear wheels

toyota developed the car around three priorities: a low centre of gravity, low weight with high rigidity, and aerodynamic performance

the structure is particularly interesting too. toyota used its first all aluminium body frame, while the engine was designed to be compact and light, with dry sump lubrication and a thinner oil pan helping keep the powertrain lower in the chassis

and since this is still a development prototype, toyota hasn't published final performance figures yet

After last year win the Silver class in Suzuka 1000km, Team 5Zigen enters the 2026 event’s PRO class. GTWCAsia driver Atsushi Miyake to race alongside former GT500 champion Kazuki Hiramine & former GTWCEurope Endurance (Blancpain Endurance Series) champion Katsumasa Chiyo. A clear involvement by Nismo.

Miyake did participate in his first 1000km event last year with Handwork Challenge (B-Max) in the Pro class as well before the car engine stop work. This is Hiramine’s first IGTC event race, while Chiyo previously raced in the Suzuka event twice in 2018-19 under the 10 hours format & raced full season in the series with Nissan.
