BREAKING: Judge Aileen Cannon enrages MAGA world by announcing that she will NOT block the release of Special Counsel Jack Smith's report on his investigation into Donald Trump's efforts to overturn the 2020 election.

The report could be be made public as early as tomorrow. Cannon refused to extend the earlier order she had issued which blocked the Department of Justice from releasing the report. That order expires at midnight.

I went into a little bookstore in an art filled little community. I walked over to the young woman working there, who was probably in her early twenties. Lowering my voice a bit, I said “I just wanted to tell you how nice this is. I’m from near the Missouri/Kansas line. The liberal atmosphere here is one that I like. The fact that plenty of books like this are on display is what I’ve been craving to be around, without even knowing it.”

She flashed a great big, beautiful smile and her eyes twinkled.

I continued with, “This election is the most important election is US history. We have to hold the line!”

Her eyes started to well up a bit with tears. Her inner eyebrows pulled inward and upward at the same time. (A clear sign of sadness that can only be convincingly mimicked by trained actors…and good ones at that.)

“I know. And I’m scared.” I opened my arms and gave her a look that conveyed “If you want a hug, just step forward”, but raised my eyebrows in a high arch to let her know it was entirely up to her.

She immediately took a step forward, laid her head on my chest, and just held on.

The fact that my wife and daughter were less than 2 feet from me likely made me seem less like an old guy scoping out young women, and more like someone who simply cared.

The hug probably lasted 15 seconds or so, which, if you think about it, is a very long time for a “first time meeting you” kind of hug.

We then smile at each other, said “It was so nice to meet you!” and went on our way back to what we were doing before.

This young woman..who had acknowledged she was a member of the LGTBQ community..was scared.

What kind of fucking country do we live in…in 2024…where a nice person like her, who isn’t harming a Goddamn soul, has to fear for her safety because of her sexual preferences…and a bunch of nutty ass Republicans who support a man who has allegedly had sex with girls as young as 12?

Take the Christian Nationalist shit….and stick it in your ass until it’s pushing against your lungs.
