When I first learned what they intended to do to the prime farmland and grassland habitat in Fort Edward, NY, upstream from my farm on the Hudson River in 2025, I couldn’t believe it.
How could New York go against its own environmental laws? How could it site these solar complexes, for foreign corporations, on prime farmland?
And so my research began.
I had no idea what awaited me. With each passing week, I learned how deeply evil the entire ORES and “green energy” playbook is for Upstate NY.
The fight felt hopeless - but I’m a stubborn person. I didn’t quit.
By God’s grace, @johnrich and I connected here on X.
He flagged this to the federal government.
A lot has happened in a short amount of time.
There are so many hard-working Upstaters that I have joined with in the last year, who have had the courage and selflessness to call out our governor and raise money for lawsuits.
American farmland and wildlife is worth fighting for.
This letter that was just sent to @KathyHochul is only the beginning.
I refuse to watch them pillage and destroy my home.
"Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" was officially released #OTD in 1967.
Time declared it "a historic milestone in the evolution of music" and it would go on to win four Grammy's the following year including Album of the Year becoming the first rock LP to receive this honor.
Elon Musk: "Probably the biggest myth that exists right now is this overpopulation myth, when in fact we have a population collapse problem."
"I think that's the biggest risk to civilization right now. We've got to get rid of this nonsense."
More from Ticonderoga, New York, which sits inside of the Adirondack Park.
You, as a private citizen, are not allowed to do anything to the land in the ADK Park. You’ll be fined if you do.
But foreign solar developers? They’re free to strip topsoil, grade, bulldoze, apply herbicides, fence off habitat, and drive Chinese-made panels into the earth.
When I first began my search to find the un-redacted files for Fort Edward Solar, I had no idea the lengths to which New York State and these foreign solar developers were willing to go to force their complexes onto prime farmland and designated grasslands.
This is what I found.
I later tried to visit the physical ORES (Office of Renewable Energy Siting) office. They obviously didn’t allow me to meet them.
Funnily enough, 2 months later, ORES “moved its office” to a new location. It’s inaccessible to the public to this day.
It’s a sad day inside the Adirondack Park.
The mountains in the distance will tell you right away you’re looking at New York’s North Country.
The New York State Adirondack Park Agency has allowed hundreds of thousands of solar panels to be anchored into ADK soil, fenced off and soaked in herbicides.
I never thought I’d see the day.
Viewsheds, summit views, rural character, and American history: ruined.
All for a form of commercial power that generates at only 15% of its annual potential. No other energy form would be forced onto us with such dismal returns.
For some reason, solar gets a pass. They call it green and clean because they believe you’re stupid enough to believe it.
We need federal intervention here in New York State immediately. The people running our environmental agencies are compromised by foreign corporate interests and kickbacks.
