@hqwords I love this game, but any chance you could show the Android app some love? Part of the reason you lose half the people on Q1 is because the puzzle doesn't show up for 12 seconds. And, the letters are so slow in going in you can't really react. No, it's not my network. :)
#FlipgridForAll A3, con't: To discuss justice with my statistics students, for example, it requires critical discussions of how data can - and cannot - help us develop and refine understanding. In any class, it's important metacognitive work. [Sorry for being vague in haste...]
#FlipgridForAll A3: For me, justice is served when a party that wrongs another party fully understands the wrong and makes amends in light of that understanding, not just because it is foisted upon them by an external hand.
@Hell2Teach Thanks for this idea! I do teach statistics, so it's even better! The conversation around numbers and statistics is so important these days.
#FlipgridForAll A1: It can be challenging to add cultural and personal authenticity to math. I try to highlight the vast global history of math, even though a lot of its ideas are European in nature. I would like to show more diverse role models in the classroom going forward.
#FlipgridForAll A2, cont: Ironically, COVID-19 has flipped the classroom and flipped the script. A lot of the more discussion-based and collaborative work I have relied on in virtual learning has been revelatory and satisfactory for students and teacher alike.
#FlipgridForAll A2: I have been invited into more active work in equity and diversity in my school community. Although I teach a lot of AP courses, I am trying to be flexible in grading and individualized support. My classroom at its best fully welcomes mistakes and exploration.
