@LindaKeays3@BreitbartNews Ah. You don't like the message, so blame the messenger. I can offer similar links from Scientific American, Northeastern University, or Nat'l Bureau of Economic Research. Are you going to reject ALL sources because you don't like the results? https://t.co/w4ujTrZgLf
@empyreal_lord @UrbanAchievr They think they have plenty of militia members for that. I think they'll be surprised at what happens when their cosplay cadre actually runs into armed opposition, but you're right, the Claremonters won't be on those lines.
@CounterApologis Ghost guns, as much of a problem as they might someday become, doesn't seem to be our real problem NOW. But by all means, if this could cut down on some of those, I'm in favor of it. At least let's add a serial number and registration to those barrels, like multiple VINs on a car
@CounterApologis If they can't find or make them, then the smaller magazines will at least slow down the rate, and give someone a slight chance of getting to him, like the guy at Club Q.
@CounterApologis There are SOME who will find it more difficult to do so. These mass shooters are, almost by definition, not fully competent. If they have to go trying to score more illegal crap, there's a bigger chance of them getting caught.
@CounterApologis And I believe I mentioned that gun owners should be liable for the misuse of their unsecured weapons. If the thief can crack your gun safe, fine - but if he steals it out from under your pillow, that's on you.
@CounterApologis Barrels, or the whole upper receiver? Because frankly a hardened steel cylinder bored out to a specific gauge and even scored with a spiral groove seems like something any competent metal shop could turn out.
@CounterApologis The inconvenience of you having to carry three magazines to the range instead of one to get a full thirty in the target seems like a small price to pay.
@CounterApologis Okay, so you didn't really mean it when you said there are some things we can do. So please forgive us if we keep trying to do the tiny little things that piss off legal gun owners, but might save at least a FEW fucking lives.
@CounterApologis As for suicides - strict red flag laws would help. Handgun crime - strict gun ownership registration with liability for guns that get into the hands of criminals extralegally unless they were reasonably secured.
@CounterApologis This certainly wouldn't solve the BIG problems, like the massive suicide numbers or handgun crime. But any measure proposed on those issues gets knocked down in much the same way, if not simply rejected as a 2A infringement.
@CounterApologis Perhaps. But your contention seems to be based on the assumption that all gun owners would have easy access to black markets and/or 3D printers with prohibited image files. Criminals will get around it - so why have laws at all?
