I was pleased to join Minister @Sflecce for the announcement of the proposed Northern Shield Energy Corridor today. This ambitious project would connect Alberta's oil sands to Sarnia-Lambton, reinforcing our community's position as one of Canada's most important energy hubs.
We owe it to our brave police officers to ensure they have the tools they need to do their jobs safely.
We’re urging the federal government to take the actions below to protect our officers and communities they serve.
Police officers put their lives on the line every day to keep our communities safe. The least we can do in response is have their backs, no matter what.
Today, I wrote to the Prime Minister outlining a series of practical steps to support and protect our brave women and men in uniform.
From a small shop on Upper Wellington to building landmarks across North America.
Congratulations to the entire Walters Group team on 70 years of Hamilton steel, innovation and craftsmanship.
It all started right here in Hamilton — and 70 years later, they’re still building big. #HamOnt
On October 1, 1927 OPP Provincial Constable William O.K. McGillivary died in the line of duty. He was traveling on 12th Street crossing the Toronto-Hamilton Highway in New Toronto when he lost control of his police motorcycle and was thrown striking his head on the pavement. He died later in St. Joseph's Hospital from a fractured skull. He is always remembered for his service and sacrifice. #HeroesInLife
A strong Team Canada relies on a strong Ontario and a strong Alberta, working together to build energy infrastructure and protect Canadian sovereignty.
After generating over 40 years' worth of electricity, Pickering’s Unit 6 comes offline today for refurbishment, closing a remarkable chapter of powering Ontario.
Canada’s first commercial nuclear power station, and at one point in its early history, stood as the largest single nuclear generator in the world.
To the workers who made it possible, thank you.
Now we begin the next chapter, embarking on one of Canada's largest clean energy projects as we extend the life of Pickering for another 38 years while creating over 30,000 jobs.
On the heels our productive meeting at the MSPO defence show in Poland, it was a great to visit INKAS’ Toronto facility this afternoon and see first-hand how their products are supporting security operations in 70+ countries.
As Canada and its NATO allies continue to make unprecedented investments into the defence market, we explored how INKAS is capitalizing on these opportunities and supporting job creation within Ontario.
Our government will always protect Ontario's workers and businesses.
We're expanding the Protect Ontario Financing Program to support sectors hit by the latest U.S. import ban, while continuing to back businesses still facing previous tariffs, including the steel and aluminum sectors, so workers can stay on the job.

More family doctors. More access to care. 🩺
Earlier this year, as part of this promise, I was proud to announce nearly $5M in provincial funding to help connect more than 10,000 Hamilton residents to primary care.

On the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we reflect on the painful legacy of residential schools with a renewed responsibility to carry these lessons forward and build meaningful relationships rooted in respect.
It was a pleasure to reconnect with Vianode’s Burkhard Straube and Emanuele Tricca this morning to receive an update on their ongoing site preparations in St. Thomas.
Through a $3.2B investment, Vianode is establishing North America’s first synthetic graphite facility and onshoring the production of a critical component needed to fuel Ontario’s defence and automotive sectors.
On September 30, 1999 OPP Provincial Constable Charles "Chuck" Mercier was working a paid duty on the QEW at the base of the Garden City Bridge near Niagara Falls when his marked police vehicle with emergency lights on was struck by van being driven by a man who had fallen asleep. Chuck was involved in the OPP Association as a Branch Secretary. He was survived by his wife and two children. #HeroesInLife
Hamilton has the talent, ideas and businesses to compete anywhere.
Great to welcome Minister @S_CrawfordMPP to #HamOnt and showcase some of the innovative work happening right here in our city.
Thank you to @iF_hamont and our local business leaders for the conversation!
🇮🇳 REMEMBER THIS MAN: CAPTAIN SMIT MACHCHHAR.
An Indian captain flying hundreds of people from Dubai to Tel Aviv was stabbed in his own cockpit.
Wounded, bleeding, with the aircraft plunging thousands of feet, he fought back.
Then passengers and crew did something extraordinary:
They stormed the cockpit.
They restrained the attacker.
Other pilots took control.
And that plane LANDED.
Hundreds of families got their loved ones back today because ordinary people refused to freeze when everything went wrong.
Captain Smit Machchhar — India and the whole WORLD should be proud of you. 🇮🇳
And to the passengers and crew who ran toward the danger instead of away from it:
Heroes. Every single one of you.
This is what courage looks like.
