“To my brothers & sisters in Africa especially those from Nigeria, I am sorry that you do not know what it means to have a good government. I am sorry that you have never experienced good leadership & what it means to be protected.”
~Adadioranmma
This should alarm every American. Let me be clear:
I liked Trump. I supported him. I still do in many ways, I think he’s been better than the last four presidents combined. But that doesn’t mean he’s infallible. On this issue, I think he’s seriously misguided!
The U.S. quietly imposed what amounts to a partial naval blockade on Venezuela banning sanctioned tankers from the region and reserving the right to seize them. Two ships get taken. A third one, Bella 1, bolts. Registers as Russian, slaps a Russian flag on its side, changes its name, and instantly upgrades from stateless scrap metal to under Moscow’s protection.
That should’ve been the off-ramp. Instead, the U.S. takes it anyway, near Iceland, no less. Russia warns Washington not to touch it. Washington shrugs and does it anyway. Bad idea! This wasn’t about enforcing sanctions. It was about testing boundaries from the US and people are getting sick of it I know I am.
And to understand why, you have to understand the so-called “dark fleet.” After Ukraine, Russia was cut out of Western shipping, insurance, and logistics. So Moscow adapted. Old tankers. No insurance. No flag. Over a thousand of them quietly moving - unfairly sanctioned oil by the country that doesn't even respect its own rules(The US) - from Russia, Iran, Venezuela keeping those economies breathing. Not thriving, while the US tries to destroy them with sections because that's what we do and then we claim we care about people in those countries, knowing rich are never hurt by the sections ever.
For the U.S., these ships are leverage. Crack the fleet, squeeze Russia and Iran. That part is obvious. What’s less obvious but far more important is what Venezuela represents in this equation. Because here’s the part no one wants to say out loud: the U.S. helped destroy Venezuela’s oil industry, it is a fact! then acted shocked when Venezuela turned to China.
Sanctions crippled production, financing, maintenance, and exports. Predictably, Caracas pivoted east. China stepped in, bought the oil, paid in ways that bypassed the dollar, and locked in long-term supply. That wasn’t Venezuela being rebellious that was survival.
Now comes the plot twist. Suddenly, the U.S. wants Venezuelan oil again. Narcissistic empire woke up to more blood. Trump announces that Caracas will hand over 30 to 50 million barrels to the U.S., oil worth nearly $2 billion. He claims it’ll be sold at market price and that he will personally control the proceeds “for the benefit of the Venezuelan and American people.” laughable!
That alone should set off alarms in international community and in very propagandized American peoples heads. Is Venezuela selling this oil?
What is clear is that this oil was supposed to go to China. Now it won’t. And that’s the point. This was never really about oil. I've said this million time I do not like China I don't think China should be the dominant power in the world but I do think China should be One of them.
Let’s drop the pretense. This isn’t about democracy or even oil. The real objective is financial and strategic: push China out, reassert dollar dominance, and fracture the BRICS alliance before it solidifies. Venezuela is just one pressure point in a broader effort to drag the world back into a unipolar system where Washington sets the rules and the dollar is unavoidable.
And yes, I live in the United States. I want a strong dollar. A strong currency means stability and opportunity so yes of course I do. But not at any cost. Not at the expense of global stability, and not at the expense of my own freedom.
Dollar supremacy today isn’t about helping Americans; it’s about empowering financial elites, the same ones who gave us predatory healthcare, too-big-to-fail banks, and corporate parasites that extract rather than create value. Absolute dollar dominance doesn’t lift working Americans out of poverty - it tightens financial control, strengthens banks that won’t hesitate to wipe you out, and gives corporations even less accountability.
That’s not strength. That’s a gilded cage.
A multipolar world isn’t a threat to America, it’s a pressure release valve. It forces competition, limits abuse, and restores balance. If Trump truly wants America first, someone sane in his cabinet needs to say this plainly: clinging to sole dollar dominance protects elite power, but it slowly hollows out American freedom.
And that’s a bad deal. A very very bad deal for Americans.
Look at the pattern. Sanction the producer. Block the buyer. Seize the transport. Redirect the supply. Control the proceeds. And above all send a message: alternatives to the dollar come with consequences.
The problem? This strategy is outdated and dangerous.
A world where countries have real alternatives forces competition, restraint, and balance. It weakens monopolies of power including monetary ones. Yes, it means the U.S. has to negotiate instead of dictate. That’s not weakness. That’s reality.
What we’re seeing now naval seizures, legal gray zones, economic coercion dressed up as moral enforcement is what systems do when they fear losing control. And fear makes states sloppy.
The irony is obvious: the U.S. sanctions Venezuela into collapse, then returns claiming to “stabilize” what it helped break, while quietly redirecting oil away from China. That’s not strategy, it’s contradiction wrapped in a flag.
And it won’t stay in the Caribbean. It’s already touched the North Atlantic. The next response may not be symbolic. Russia and China aren’t watching because of one tanker, they’re watching the precedent.
This is how miscalculations start. @POTUS
This is quite concerning that @GeoPomonaZW has not been collecting waste in Madokero for 2 weeks now, yet bins are all placed outside our gates. Can we have an explanation for this @cityofharare2@JMafume ?

HOMOPHOBIA IS A LIE:
Finding and actually proving that something isn't natural, doesn't mean one is afraid or hates them. If we are to be more factual, psychological studies show that homosexuality and mental illness are synonymous. As a matter of fact till the 1970s, homosexuality was regarded as a form of mental illness by the American Psychology Society
Let us talk about Boer Goats for a minute, and let us cure the ignorance around why they are “expensive.”
I bought this male Boer goat christened Maserati in South Africa in 2016, I paid US$6000 for it.
A male goat is called a Buck, and a female is called a Doe.
A buck is your seed, so if your seed is rubbish, you get rubbish offspring too because the buck’s sperm determines the quality of the offspring that you then sale as a business.
Since 2016, Maserati gave me thousands of goat kids.
My friends and other farmers also benefited from his prolific prowess.
A goat of Maserati’s quality can mate with 80 Does a month.
Maserati was an investment not a goat to eat, each male goat kid born is sold for US$500 when it is six months old, females are sold for US$450.
Boer goats ordinarily give you 3 goats per each pregnancy, they deliver twice a year, that is 6 goats per year per female Boer goat.
So why do farmers pay in advance for male Boer goats and why is demand outstripping supply?
Maserati weighs 140 kgs, the Mashona village goat weighs 20kgs.
If you mate Maserati with a Mashona goat, the offspring you get weighs 70-80kgs.
In other words you get an extra 50 kgs per each pregnancy if you buy a Boer goat.
So it makes economic sense to buy male Boer goats for a farmer who wants to sell goat meat.
If he has 200 Mashona female goats, they will give him 4000 kgs of meat per single pregnancy at selling time.
If he or she crossbreeds a male Boer goat with his or her 200 Mashona females, he will get 16,000 kgs of meat.
If he or she breeds Maserati with 200 pure-breed female Boer goats, he or she will get 24,000 kgs of meat.
Boer goat farming or breeding is a business not a hobby, so don’t ask again why they are expensive, the answer is in the numbers that I have given you.
Meat is sold by the kilo not through sentimentality, that is why I sell one year old male Boer goats for US$1000.
I am now leaving goat breeding to focus on trading only because ZANUPF as you remember wanted to steal my Boer goats through its youth leader.
It means I will be buying one year olds from South Africa and taking them straight to the market.
I hope you have learnt something about pricing and why they are “expensive.”
Factors like genetic quality, reproduction rates, and meat yield contribute to the value and demand for these goats in the market.
The focus on breeding as a business underscores the economic considerations involved in livestock farming.
The rush for University Degrees
Across Zimbabwe, a discernible shift is occurring within the higher education landscape. The pursuit of bachelor's degrees, once considered the apex of academic attainment, is now being surpassed by a burgeoning interest in postgraduate studies. Master's programs are witnessing exceptional enrollment, and the number of Zimbabweans attaining doctorates is steadily rising. This phenomenon begs significant inquiry: what factors are driving this surge, and what are the potential implications for the nation's development trajectory?

NEW YEAR MESSAGE FROM CHIKURUBI MAXIMUM SECURITY PRISON
Dear Zimbabweans and my Worldwide friends:
My dearest Zimbabweans and Worldwide friends, Happy New Year, Happy 2023!!! It is through the grace of our ever loving Almighty God that we are in 2024. Some of our friends and relatives did not make it from 2023. God is the ultimate authority over everything, life or death, tears or joy, pain, agony or happiness. He is a purposeful Lord. Let’s thank him for his gracious love.
From the enclave of repression, where I am in, my dearest friends, the preceding year, 2023, was the year my tormentors flexed and demonstrated their might of oppression against me. Throughout my trials in court, I was always oppressed by my tormentors. I was subjected to the most unfair trials a human being can ever go through. I was denied any decency of a fair trial. I went through grand demonstrations of emotional seizures. Court desks were banged, chairs swayed and doors banged, with faces frowning on me coupled with holistic satanic smiles by the State, on cases without an iota of evidence.
Let me tell you dear friends, that, since birth, I have never witnessed some garbage of embarrassing evidence like the one that was presented against me by my persecutors’ and various witnesses. I even felt pity for them. We shall upload the entire record of my cases on various websites for your attention. Records of court proceedings are public documents that can be accessed by anyone who wants to.
Like I said in my previous communications with you, I long reached the Mandela moment. I will never, ever again continue to sanitise my persecution, by pleading my innocence to scripts that have been choreographed. My persecution is now clear to everyone. It is the exercise of repression in motion against my person by the regime and its agencies, for being a forthright opposition political leader. So be it! I am a political prisoner whose crime is, being the voice of the oppressed and the downtrodden. Believe me, there is nothing that gives me full satisfaction and inner happiness in life, than suffering for the powerless masses. I always tell my oppressors that, they are free to do whatever they want with me, even if they want to kill me, as they long mooted the plan since December 2022.
Since my arrest on the 14th of June 2022, my oppressors kept me under the most horrible and inhumane conditions under the sun, in solitary confinement and always in chains, like a terrorist, at every turn, in the worst prison in the world, Chikurubi Maximum Security Prison. They know I have not committed any crime, and that I am not a criminal and I will never be one all my life.
I chose to become who I am, because I stand for something, something worth living for and something worth dying for. Like Steve Biko said, “it is better to die for an idea that will live, than to live for an idea that will die”. Rather than tormenting me, those who wield power, should demonstrate themselves the desire to ameliorate every legitimate grievance. We must affirm our unalterable faith in human goodness once released from the blemishes of a society founded on fear. I am one man who by natural designs of nature, will never be forced to retreat or modify positions, especially through coercive means. I am attracted and persuaded by ideas. Great ideals and ideas that are people centered.
You would understand me, if you would share with me, the view and the truth that there are millions of our poor people, abject people, ill-fed, ill-clothed, unemployed, emaciated, drowned in drugs and penury who are gripped in unimaginable sorrow and tears. They need that heart that feels for them, that heart that bleeds with theirs to wipe with tears of sorrow and neglitude from their faces. I repeat, once more again, that I studied law, to help represent the poor, and in my career as a lawyer,
Hon Matsunga @matsunga_mp appeals to the conscience of riot police officers who were instructed to beat us in parliement today. A sad day to democracy. We will not be cowed into submission! Never!
