We often think our greatest moments with God begin with doing something extraordinary. They sometimes begin with laying aside what has become comfortable or ordinary.

Moses had not yet confronted Pharaoh. The Red Sea had not parted. Israel had not been delivered but God first dealt with Moses' thinking before entrusting him with his purpose.

There are places God wants to take us where personal ambition is not enough. They require reverence, surrender, and obedience, even in the seemingly insignificant things.

Sometimes the doorway to your next season is as simple as taking off your sandals before the limelight.
