Reason they moved him into a starting role at that time was that LBJ got hurt about that time and they had TBJr, LW4, DS, PB all start together. As it their best lineup considering the poor roster construct.

Especially AD who’ll most likely require surgery on his foot and probably miss time at the start of the 2023-24 season

All your aforementioned examples had remorse, got counseling and severed their suspensions. Bauer only did the latter as he had no choice. LAD offered him an opportunity to become contrite. He refused. So they cut him loose.
