I love listening to podcasts from 2021 and hearing “Jay Powell says we may have 3-6 more months of transitory inflation before things return to normal.”
I miss that optimism. #thefed #inflation

@PLComms I’m not a Nottingham fan, but the Premier League needs to get its own house in order and fix the atrocious VAR calls this season before it condemns anyone else.

[Robert Wales @bobby_wales]

@AmericanAir No DMs needed. I’ll take my business where it’s valued. If #AA continues to devalue its AAdvantage program, I’ll go elsewhere. That’s all.

[Robert Wales @bobby_wales]

The new @AmericanAir travel agent preferences are ridiculous. If my corporate travel agent isn’t preferred, I’ll earn my next million miles on @Delta.

It never works out well for a company to ignore their best customers. #americanairlines #aadvantage

[Robert Wales @bobby_wales]

American Air: Use our website to book flights (or you won’t earn miles)!
Customers: So your website will actually work, right?
American Air: . . .
Customers: It will work, right?

Leap Day is fun, but could we shift it to a different year so we don’t make Election Year even a day longer than it needs to be?

@JeremyClarkson The council was abolished? Freedom was restored to rural England?

[Robert Wales @bobby_wales]

@theadrianjordon They did not give FC Dallas season ticket holders the first dibs on the tickets. It was all about $$$ for MLS. Screw the fans.

[Robert Wales @bobby_wales]

@bern_identity My 11yo is already asking me when he can get a PT job and start working. “Exploitation” is making kids works in sweat shops for pennies, not allowing them to apply for a $15/hr job that teaches character. Stop manufacturing drama.

Last night’s #MNF events should be a good reminder to everyone to learn #CPR and first aid. Sudden cardiac arrest can happen anytime.

My wife read 103 books in 2022. I aim for 30-35. I would love to be able to do one a week.

[Lex Fridman @lexfridman]

I'm reading a book a week in 2023. Classics, sci-fi, nonfiction, or anything people highly recommend. I'll keep adjusting the list. Start on Monday, done by Sunday. Might make lowkey videos of takeaways. If you want to read along, the current list is here: https://t.co/hYCs1pvLiZ

@comilla_s @ScottGustin I believe you are correct on the CC assumption. He took a direct hit to the sternum, stood up, then collapsed.

[Robert Wales @bobby_wales]

@TheGrandBagel @ianmiles It’s an ambulance, run by an FD. That’s very common in big cities in the US.

@WIRED Nuclear power is clean, and powerful enough to meet demand.

For the many people enamored with the recent discovery of the #Endurance, I strongly recommend @nancykoehn's book Forged in Crisis which features a section on Ernest Shackleton. #LeadershipMatters

@DavidKotokGIC Thank you for your perspective and openness on the podcast. I enjoyed the talk, and I was also refreshed by the many references to my home state of Maine; I miss the mountains and lakes, and fishing. Thank you for speaking with @ritholtz and sharing that with us.
