@DubCityCouncil The protection ends at the most dangerous point - the junction. No separation with the bus stop either. Need to get the designs safer and more consistent.
@EamonRyan@SEAI_ie This is great, but would you consider an interest free loan scheme for for upgrades rather than grants? Grants only make it cheaper for those with access to capital - generally richer people. Plus a tax incentive scheme for landlords to help renters?
The more people that choose to walk, bike and take public transit to get around, the better cities work for everyone, including drivers. Anyone still claiming this is a “war on the car” doesn’t understand how cities work. HT @fietsprofessor for graphic.
@FlySWISS why do you not give rebooking options online when you cancel and change someone’s flight? Why does your contact centre not answer the phone? Why does it say to DM you on Twitter on your website when no one replies? Terrible service
@NoelRock They should be free at point of use. People would pay for them through their taxes and the government would use its ability to buy in bulk to pass on savings to tax payers. They should be free for the exact same reasons a PCR test or a vaccine is free.
@LeoVaradkar Contact tracing will be very important for next wave. Yet when you go into a restaurant/gym etc you hand write your contact info. Completely non-scalable solution. Such a failure that we don’t have a contact tracing app that’s used/works. Manual contact tracing can’t keep up.
Why we need to have *test-to-stay* programs for school.
Your child MIGHT have been exposed? Keep at home straight for 10-14+ days?
NO. Thats harmful.
Test each AM for 7 days. Each day Neg -> Go to school
Quarantines are information problems. Rapid test solve this issue.
@RiochtConor2@LeoVaradkar Had a bizarre surreal dream last night where the gov spent a couple million on a consultancy firm to build a contact tracing app, but when you went to a restaurant you had to hand write your name and number on a piece of paper. It was wild.
@gavreilly Would love to see some quick coordinated European action. There should probably be some help for SA, including vaccines. Other countries might think twice about reporting new variants if all they get for the trouble is a travel ban.
@gavreilly The tests are clearly very cheap wholesale now. Would make so much more sense to make them free than to subsidise expensive pharmacy prices.
