@duolingo what has happened to your app lately? At least on Android the lag has gotten almost unbearable. Lessons take 20-30 seconds to load, listening exercises sometimes don't play at all. Please hire some testers and stop making an app I pay for worse
If a villain in a movie described the business model of the American health care system it would make the character irredeemably evil. If you described it to some alien civilization it would be impossible to justify. And yet it's just every day in America, for no reason but greed
Did you ever think that in 2021 @UHC made 10.1 billion dollars in profit, all of which was money that people spent for healthcare but did not receive. Like think of how many people were refused care or medication to amass 10 billion dollars. BILLION. In one year! Just profit!
And that doesn't even account for the operating expenses -- salary, rent, etc -- of a giant company whose only purpose is to profit from denying health care to those in need, who paid them for that same health care. Almost every dime of that could have been spent on health care
@JoeBiden@POTUS thank God we have another ancient corporate shill in the White House doing nothing to help dismantle the corrupt and evil insurance industry in this country. Hope you're enjoying your tax funded health care while we all suffer
This is for INSULIN for a type one diabetic. @ExpressScripts and @bcbs_companies continuing to just blatantly murder people in America for profit while we all sit back and take it. These people are terrorists getting rich off of our misery and pain and we do nothing
#healthcare
@RepChrisPappas@RepAnnieKuster how much are you guys getting from the insurance lobbies so just trying to get insulin for my wife is a full time job and they STILL deny us? Every day you do nothing blood of Americans is on your hands
Dumb Regular People: Sure seems like every company jacked up their prices after covid
Economists: Inflation is a tangled web of tensile factors; it is an unfinished symphony; an unknowable lover (2 years later) Yeah companies jacked up their prices https://t.co/CfLDEmlGY0
@POTUS a state government has kidnapped children from their parents over ideological nonsense, at what point does the fed step in?! How far does it have to go before you actually do anything?
@TylerRuinsTV I know. YouTube is diabolical with bundling YouTube ad-free experience with music (and jacking up the price this month). You get a less good music service but you're stuck with it if you don't want yt ads
(2/) and Youtube has no production costs, no "originals" that anyone cares about. YouTubeMusic is one of if not the lowest as far as paying musicians royalties for their music, and I'm sure this GIANT price hike is not going to creators or artists. Just egregious gouging.
So @YouTube is raising the price of premium by FIFTY PERCENT next month to $22.99. They're already well behind @Spotify in subscribers, and even before the price hike they are more expensive than Spotify's best plan. 23 dollars is more than ANY streaming service out there (1/)
