Trace decided to head to college a year early, but I’m not sure @hollygold92 or his twin sister were ready to let him go. While driving 6 hours with him yesterday, 18 years flashed through my head before we dropped him off. I couldn’t be more proud of the young man he has become

I played for Coach Meiss from 1987- 1990 and then coached alongside him for nearly 13 years. Too many stories to tell, but @tjmeiss, you have been a great mentor of mine and I’m thankful we still keep in touch to this day. Congrats on a great career!

So sad to hear that Roanoke-Benson legend Bill Zeman has passed away. I'm not sure I ever covered a coach who loved his players more than Coach Z. I never drive through Roanoke or Benson without thinking about 30-0 State Champs of 1995! A GREAT baseball man--a better man!
