Sputnik woke America up in the 1960s. Maybe BYD should do the same today.
We may be behind, but America has never done its best work while sitting comfortably ahead. The U.S. can still catch up. I wrote this on why:

What’s happening with Chinese EV innovation ought to get America’s attention. Fast iteration. Lower costs. Serious scale.
This is bigger than transportation. It’s about whether America intends to compete.

When the Earth Moves Film https://t.co/IjMF2ExVbQ
I did this thing a few years ago for my friend Tia Nelson — a short film on the origins of Earth Day.
In 1970, folks on the left and right agreed there was a problem and got to work.
Seems to me we can do that again.
I’ve found folks don’t respond well to being told they’re the problem. https://t.co/38tZbglAow
They respond a whole lot better when you show them a way forward.
In this piece, I write about the missing ingredient in the climate conversation, a path to redemption.
Had a great conversation today with @bobinglis from @republicEn on how conservatives should approach climate change. Check out the conversation on the @longleafpol podcast: https://t.co/E1ZFG8f2Hj #ncpol
This Sunday April 19th — making the conservative case for climate action. Lower bills. Energy security. Free market solutions. Common ground exists.

March has kept me moving — enough that my wife might be wondering if I still live at home.
But I wouldn’t trade these conversations. So many thoughtful people stepping up.
Here are a few photos from our creation care event in Indianapolis. Grateful for the opportunities.
@user2828473719@BamaJack4 Wen Lee on our team at @republicEn coordinates scheduling—please reach out to her at [email protected], and she’ll help us see what might be possible.
Thanks for watching Merchants of Doubt and for the kind note. I’m glad the conversation sparked some discussion in your class.
From the beginning, we were called “to tend and keep.”

On Mar 12 in Indianapolis, we’ll gather at Rejoicing Vine Winery to talk about what that means for us today—faithfully & practically.
Dinner included. Free event.
I’d love to see you there.
@BamaJack4 I’ve reviewed arguments like this many times. They haven’t been substantiated by the evidence. Climate risk isn’t a matter of ideology — it’s physics — and we should engage it seriously rather than outsource the conversation.
Merchants of Doubt is a great movie.
American exceptionalism isn’t about pretending we’re perfect.
It’s about believing we can solve big problems — and then doing the work to prove it.

Appreciate the @dcexaminer including my perspective. Executive orders come and go. Durable policy is built the old-fashioned way — with votes, persuasion, and compromise.

Fundraising lesson learned:
Never make promises involving chickens unless you’re prepared to follow through.
We hit $5K at @republicEn.
The chicken was kissed.
Accountability achieved.
