Taking on the ARC feels so impactful because we could be in the crosshairs ourselves. The natural balance makes impromptu co-op all the more special. The betrayals make the genuine alliances all the more meaningful. Both “good” and “evil” are necessary in a game like this.

ARC Raiders is so great exactly because it’s PvPvE, yet a lot of the player base seems divided over the legitimacy of the other camp’s “play style.” Embark solved this during the years of development, and now it’s part of the game’s identity; spelled out on the official site:

I’m not Tweet-smart enough to fully grasp Alyssa’s intent, but I feel specific use of the term “Soulslikes” is key to understanding her comment. I don’t think she’s saying “From makes right leaning games”. It would take a whole lot of resin in your helmet holes to believe that.

@ElodesNL I was spiritually in my 30s when I left high school, so I’m biased but as soon as I actually hit 30 it was like Goku and Vegeta fusing. That’s when real life started. I highly recommend moving forward along the space time continuum.
