Founder, Crosswinds Foundation @crosswind4faith, Exec. Producer: Invisible Scars, Honoring the Code, Trauma Comes Home. Author and family guy. Go watch a movie.
I'm thrilled to announce that I've joined @pistolsguys. For the last year, I've admired what @MarshallScottOK and crew have done covering OSU.
In fact, whenever I missed a game, I checked PFB to catch up on what happened.
Marshall kindly introduces me below, mentioning my favorite assignments ever, my hobbies and a brief shout-out to Braums (which I can admit got me through the shock of getting laid off).
All I will add about myself is that I really enjoy shining a spotlight on the athletes who play in the games and the ones who coach them. Sharing their stories is easily the best part of the job.
Well that and getting paid to break down some obscure (but important stat).
Everybody welcome @tylerwaldrep to the PFB team!
Tyler most recently covered #okstate for the Tulsa World but is now set to help us with our coverage.
More on Tyler ⤵️. https://t.co/KMe93XWOkU
Three weeks ago, I was laid off from the Tulsa World.
Nothing to do with performance. Just a frustrating reality of the industry sometimes.
Although the news was shocking, I have nothing bad to say about the 386 days I spent covering Oklahoma State for the Tulsa World. I loved (almost) every single minute.
Luckily, I finished a story I found incredibly meaningful just days before my time with the World ended in which coach Jacie Hoyt and her players spent real time with me discussing how their faith, preseason baptisms and a Bible study impacted the team this season.
I really, really appreciate that time and their willingness to share their faith so publicly. I know it encouraged me, and based on the feedback I got, I had the same impact on others.
Although this professional setback stung, I remain confident the Lord will use this to put our family in an even better spot down the road.
I'm also extremely grateful to say that I'm not done with Stillwater or Oklahoma State just yet...
First day on the new job today for @tylerwaldrep. Super proud of and for this guy. If you're an OSU fan you got a great beat writer. Give him a follow. He's already cranking out coverage.
🚨 I'm thrilled to announce that I'm taking over the Oklahoma State beat for the @tulsaworld! 🚨
Describing what this means would take waaaaay too many tweets.
For now, I'll just thank @jasoncollington & his team for trusting me w/ such a massive opportunity. I can't wait!

Going to empty camera roll starting w/ a frame-by-frame breakdown of the @LeedsFTBL FG block. (Thanks, @bobwaldrep, for grabbing the frames).
I watched this play 12 times. Best I can tell @yvngkavion makes contact with the ball based on the way it spins left. Could be wrong 🤷♂️
Here's my column.
I'm not ready to pick a QB yet, but I do think the offense needs to stick with one guy.
🚨 Jax State is only averaging 10 passing yards more than Navy. 🚨
If that doesn't get your attention, nothing will. https://t.co/CvdChY47U5
Trauma Comes Home premiere is tomorrow at Homewood Theater, 7:00 PM. Sneak peek tonight - same location and time. Let me know if you need tix. Details at: https://t.co/YloxJ68RAR
Sadly I couldn't make it out to Texas and be back in Jacksonville for the teams first practice tomorrow, but I'm able to provide updates on media day virtually.
I hope the players ate extra brisket for me though!
Sophomore Rebecca Sierra earned MVP honors after she scored four goals and assisted on two others.
“I don’t think anybody can describe it. She’s definitely going to be a great player as she continues to grow. I mean, she’s just a sophomore.”

Springville vs Gulf Shores 5A championship game will start in next 10 minutes.
Winning school will claim their program's first state championship so this should be a good one.
Springville's first trip to the semifinals won't be a short stay. The Tigers return to the field Saturday to play for a state championship.
“It is amazing. I can’t believe we are making history. I am so proud of this team like so much, so happy.”

Both I and @JaxStateFB finished our last normal spring practice today.
Gonna put a bow on it with coverage of Thursday night's public scrimmage.
Free admission to the game (unless maybe you coach another CUSA team😂). So stop by in person and check back here after for updates.
Auburn's QB had a message after the Iron Bowl for whoever got the job:
“Even in year one, we are trying to compete for an SEC title and a national championship, and we’re not going to stop until we get that. Until we get Auburn back to Auburn.”
