Good news. Because I have a picture of a street with no cars in it, we don’t need streets for cars.
I know that because of all the helpful people who have told me over the years that because they have a picture of a bike-lane with no bikes in it, we don’t need bike-lanes.
.@GeneLewisPerry of @OKPolicy writes: "Expanding #Medicaid for working adults would reduce our child uninsured rate as parents with coverage are much more likely to get their children covered." https://t.co/e6i0W1UYJm #okhealth#funded
The Oklahoma City Council unanimously approved Municipal Court amnesty program Tuesday to clear unresolved low-level offenses off the books and help offenders, especially individuals living in poverty, get on with their lives. #OKC
Oklahoma ranks in the bottom 10 states in the nation for child well-being, according to the 2019 KIDS COUNT Data Book released today by @aecfkidscount

Confession: I have rarely left a tip for my housekeeper at a hotel. After reading this article and from now on, I will ALWAYS leave a tip https://t.co/0vUYX0VeUv
Shame on OU for closing this program even though 2 years funding is on hand from private contributions and no OU money would be needed while efforts continue to endow the program. Will they give the $ back to donors? Not likely. This = money grab. @UofOklahoma#Sooners#Oklahoma
Nolan Reilly, an OU alumnus, said supporters of the program plan to gather and ask for a meeting with interim OU President Joseph Harroz on Monday: https://t.co/79eNKkiioa
It’s been a little more exciting spring than we’ve had for a while lol. At least I heard the siren test today since the siren covering my neighborhood was not working when we had our mini tornado couple weeks ago. Now back to John Carter of Mars. H/t @stevelackmeyer for the nws
Up to baseball size hail, 80 mph wind gusts, and flash flooding possible will be the main concerns. It is likely the watch will be extended farther to the east later this evening. Stay tuned!
More Oklahoma women are dying from pregnancy-related causes, and the reasons are myriad. This speaks volumes about the real problems we face. But we keep building Potemkin Villages that hide our problems https://t.co/UfplBxe86R @jospacebear@davidfholt
What I want to know is the content of the transit proposals. I understand “transit” has broad application so — what is maps 4 specifically doing for the bus system? https://t.co/c7VgS2U2Mj via @newsok. @jospacebear@davidfholt
Their regular meetings are at upscale hotels with lavish banquets. The Bible says it best -- Woe to the rich who oppress the poor. If you doubt the US Bishops oppress the poor, ask the poor of Iraq/Afghanistan or any of the myriads of abused children here in the USA @USCCB
Will the US Bishops stand firm against the brewing unjust war on the people of Iran? Or like they did with Afghanistan and Iraq, will they stand in the streets with the rest of the crowd chanting "Crucify them, crucify them, crucify them!" @usccb@usccbprolife@Crux
I spoke today with @TheOklahoman digital support. They had no idea about the bugs I keep tripping over & blamed the work they are doing on a “digital experience” but had no idea when that would be finished so I cancelled my subscription until they get something that works.
There’s a lot of layers to unpack on this subject but a lot of it boils down to: Where are you supposed to go with nowhere to go? That’s why getting people housed is crucial. Addresses a lot these issues: a place to sleep, rest, go to bathroom, use trash cans, be secure.
Any further news about why those of us in Gatewood had zero warning from our siren system. ? @jospacebear@davidfholt please no more blaming of citizens who happened to be inside when this happened. How is it that we can hear the Saturday test inside but not an actual warning?
