I'm about to be vulnerable with this story about my personal life and I hope a lot of people can relate to it.

The first 7yrs of my career I did everything for my family I am very proud of that .

After my breakthrough season 2012 I had to go home to see my family because I was unable to go the year before when I lost my mother.

At the end of the season and with my contract expired I have no club since I have to wait until January to make a move.

I wanted to travel back home to see my family but I have just €1,000 in my bank account because I was always making sure that my family eat even when girlfriend at the time will tell me "Abi you don't have money why are you still sending money home" I will tell her she can't understand.

So the only option was for me to sell my car which I did and I was able to travel and see my family. After I got to Nigeria I told my dad what I had to come and say goodbye to my mother after 1yr and he was crying and said why didn't I tell him this before I came.

He wasn't happy to hear such news but I told him that everything will be ok since I had a good season with Kalmar FF I will surely get a club.

So I went back to Sweden with no money just €1k left with me and since my contract will end so I have to move out of the apartment so that the club can put another new player there but I asked them to give me the month of January to sort myself.

I called Patrick Mork my agent and explained my situation to him and he raised me money to pay my rent until I find a club.

So I got a deal from Red star which I accepted without knowing their financial situation at that time.

First month in Belgrade no salary
Second month the same
Third month I got few amount.

I had a lot of pressure back home to send money for the family but my father couldn't believe I don't have money, so I asked my girlfriend to spare me €500 so I can send for my family and she did with love.

Apparently someone has told my father that my transfer market value at €1.2M was my salary so imagine they now converted it to Naira which make it difficult for my father to believe that I don't have money and that am not getting paid for the last 3 months.
