Yesterday, I was feeding Lucy dry grass…
Yes, the kind that isn’t meant to be eaten — but it was all we had to stay alive.
My hands were trembling, her little heart fading… and I hid my tears so she wouldn’t be afraid.
She doesn’t understand why hunger chases us, or why our home has no food left.

Donations were late, and we nearly collapsed.
Then a little support arrived… and we managed to buy some food — it felt like pulling life back from the edge of death.

But today… a man in the camp died from hunger.
And I fear we might be next.

Feeding a hungry soul is saving a life on the verge of being lost.
