🎥 “Today it’s Ahmad. Tomorrow, it could be anyone’s child.”
On Sunday, four-month-old infant Ahmed Zaid from the Deir Ammar refugee camp in the occupied West Bank died after an ambulance was blocked at the checkpoint gate. Residents say soldiers refused to let the ambulance through and fired tear gas. By the time the family was allowed through, it was too late, and Ahmed passed away before they reached the hospital.
Drop Site’s Maysa Mustafa spoke with the family of Ahmed Zaid, and with residents of Deir Ammar, about how the gate’s four-month closure has cut off access to dialysis, cancer treatment, and emergency care. Installed four months ago, residents switch cars at the gate just to move between towns.
A commute to Ramallah, where Ahmed was headed for the hospital, should be just a 20-minute drive away, but Israeli road closures have turned that trip into more than an hour and a half.

A new day, and more Palestinian families are left homeless.
Israeli occupation forces demolished a two-story home this morning in the Khallet Al-Mai community of Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron. The house was home to 11 people, leaving another Palestinian family without shelter.
In the past three years, Israel has established more than 185 settler outposts, which now control 18% of the West Bank. That figure does not include settlements Israel considers legal, we are talking only about outposts that are illegal even under Israeli law.
These outposts play a central role in Israel's ongoing project of ethnic cleansing and settler terror in the West Bank. Despite their illegal status, they receive state funding, weapons, and protection from the IDF.
Since October 2023, more than 62 Palestinian communities in the West Bank have been ethnically cleansed. A total of 4,181 people have been displaced, including 1,975 children.

This is Roni Gatnach.
He is an Israeli police officer, who decided to arrest three solidarity activists instead of the settlers who attacked them. Arriving in the middle of the settler attack, he only listened to the testimony of the aggressors.
Us he forced into the sheep pen.
🚨 Gaza | At least 3 Palestinians have been killed and several others wounded today in continued Israeli violations of the ceasefire across the Gaza Strip.
➤ One Palestinian was killed and others wounded after an Israeli strike hit a civilian vehicle west of Gaza City. It appears the strike targeted the chief Hamas political spokesperson Hazem Qassem (pictured) and killed his personal aide.
➤ Two Palestinians, Yahya Saeed Hamdan, 26, and Abdullah Suleiman Abu Youssef, 23, were killed in an Israeli drone strike west of Khan Younis.
➤ Several people were wounded by Israeli gunfire in the Al-Salatin area of Beit Lahia.
➤ Israeli artillery shelled eastern Gaza City’s Al-Tuffah neighborhood as military vehicles and quadcopter drones opened fire.
➤ Artillery also struck southeast of Al-Maghazi refugee camp, while tanks and military vehicles fired toward eastern Al-Bureij.
➤ Israeli forces also opened fire on eastern Khan Younis, continuing near-daily attacks east of the so-called Yellow Line.
Breaking | One martyr was killed and several others were injured in an Israeli airstrike targeting a vehicle near Al-Abbas Junction, west of Gaza City.
The mother of Mohammad Abu Khammash is heartbroken after receiving the body of her son, who was killed by Israeli occupation forces nine days ago near the Yellow Line.
The forces shot him and prevented the family from retrieving his body for over ten days.
I have an exclusive story:
I've learned that CPJ @pressfreedom is reconsidering the removal of several killed Gaza journalists/media workers from its database and leaked emails reveal a serious effort to exclude Palestinian journalists from protection. https://t.co/Kh3xAbA85D
Also remember: Egypt's coach Hossam Hassan waved the Palestinian flag after defeating Australia in the previous match. On top of Argentine favoritism, they were not going to allow that again
