A 54-year-old truck driver just got two years in prison for manufacturing fake driver’s licenses for Indian and Pakistani nationals.

Two years.

These weren’t novelty IDs. These were documents that put people behind the wheel of commercial vehicles on Canadian roads without proper testing or licensing.

Every one of those licenses was a potential accident waiting to happen. School zones. Highways. Loading docks. Real families in real cars.

Two years for putting an unknown number of untrained drivers on the road.

Canada, we need to talk.

Why is Carney pushing for closer EU integration when we already have a free trade agreement with Europe? Have Canadians stopped to ask why?

Just look at the chaos and unrest across parts of Europe. Many European countries are facing serious economic challenges, with concerns about green policies and mass immigration. So why would we want to tie ourselves more closely to an EU struggling with the consequences of its own policies? What exactly are we gaining?

And why are we expected to trust that Carney has our best interests at heart without demanding answers or seeing the details?

Since when did we stop questioning our politicians? Stop blindly accepting what you’re told. Ask questions. Look at the bigger picture. Demand proof.

Canada’s sovereignty matters. We should not be turning our backs on our closest neighbour and largest trading partner, the United States, to get closer to an EU whose policies deserve serious scrutiny.

And here’s something everyone needs to remember. Donald Trump will not be President forever, but the decisions we make today could affect Canada for generations. If we get this wrong, the consequences could be devastating.

There are almost 600,000 temporary and permanent residents in Alberta who are not citizens and cannot vote. Elections Alberta does not require proof of citizenship for mail-in or in-person voting. Name and address is enough. They take your word for it.

Do you think the nearly 600,000 non-Canadians have a reason to get involved?

I am saying the current rules make it easy for that to happen.

We used to run elections on the assumption that people would not try to game the system.
