Parking at The Mater is a joke. Jack is a wheelchair user & not a single disabled space to be found.
I thought parking at Crumlin was bad. This is a nightmare, I’m queueing for the car park 🅿️which says full & will cost an arm & a leg! Infuriating. @CarrollJennifer@MaterTrauma
🤯 Remember the 14 steps and ramp at Deer Park in Dublin that ended up costing €753,000? It’s been revealed this morning that this project went HALF A MILLION euros over budget! You couldn’t make this up. Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael are serial wasters of public money.
Naas Community Gardaí spotted two cars parked in a disabled parking bay - a space that’s very much not for “just a minute”.
🚗 One car was unattended
🧍♂️ One was “waiting for a friend”
Both were issued a €150 fine.
Park smart and keep those spaces free for those who need them.
MacEntee has a lot to answer for during her term as MOJ she admitted that in 2023 out of 7,300 deportation orders issued only 89 people actually self deported from the country.
In my opinion as soon as someone receives a deportation order all social welfare payments should be shut down as well as medical cards and anything the government supplies as well as freezing any bank accounts the person has, it is very simple cut off the money, and deport them.
“Government commits to spina bifida and scoliosis inquiry after meeting Harvey Morrison Sherratt’s parents.”
This is a huge result for all the campaigning that has been undertaken to get “Justice For Harvey” and for all children failed by the state.
Terms of reference will have to be drawn up but they will be done so in consultation with the advocacy groups!!!
We cautiously wait to see what will be the next steps but we can take this as a major development and the very least that can be done to honour the name of Harvey Morrison Sherratt.

A poem written for the demo today by Charlotte a mother who has fought for her child’s right to an education.
Sophia read it so well you could hear a pin drop.

@Tanni_GT@TheSunTravel These are our new train carriages which will be operational by the end of the year.
Currently they are building out a few station platforms that are not level but by the end of the year it will be all level boarding on our Dart train line.
This should be the norm now!
Got a letter saying my Disability Allowance is being stopped because my husband and I earn less than €80 over the weekly threshold, so I no longer qualify. Happy Wednesday.
So we find out another criminal has been on disability allowance, yet this lad, who is now a full-time ♿user from a spinal cord injury paralysed from the shoulders down, had his allowance taken away for living with his gf. Shame on you @welfare_ie@daracalleary@1Hildegarde

Listening to a 26 year old man on newstalk paralysed from the neck down from breaking his neck mountain biking, and his disability benefit was stopped because his partners income was over the threshold. What a joke @daracalleary@DeptCDE even his travel pass was stopped
In Ireland, families like mine have to beg for beach access. We have to deal with lazy excuses & umambitious Co Councils who grant dogs better access to our beaches. Beach mat roll out should be the norm for an island nation. @TeresaMannion@DeptCultureIRL
How is that even possible when a wheelchair is taken literally at the plane door on an ambulift? Flying with @Ryanair this month after doing it a lot of times, and I would never have thought losing a wheelchair was even possible 😤 #Wheelchair#Travel@DublinAirport
