the average of what a Canadian produces in 2015 dollars is 68 cents

immigration and inflation means we are in a great depression

stop listening to media and government start listening to your grocery/power/energy/utility/tax bills

Water buffalo: make the milk that becomes real mozzarella, on marshland a cow would sink in

Yak: live and give milk at altitudes that would kill any lowland animal

Reindeer: feed and clothe whole peoples above the Arctic Circle, on lichen and moss

Bison: engineer an entire prairie ecosystem simply by grazing across it

Seven animals, one gift each, none of them replaceable by a machine or a crop.

Every one of them classed, this decade, as a liability.

At least this last couple of days have made one thing very clear. The future is simple now. Either Alberta saves itself by voting for independence in the next two referendums OR it gets dragged into total poverty by the likes of Carney, Ford and Eby.

If independence doesn't win in the October referendum, it's time to move everything you can to the USA.

@PeterHRatcliffe The “discount” is the market set price for AB oil vs other grades and final terminal. It might be “set” by oil companies internal transfer pricing (A sells to B, but both are owned by C) but AB doesn’t go out & say please buy our oil. What you suggest is an export duty

Instead of asking why an Albertan feels the need to remain anonymous, @jkenney chose to mock him publicly.

That says a lot.

In a healthy democracy, the greatest scrutiny belongs on those who exercise public power—not on ordinary citizens. Politicians choose public life. Citizens do not.

Nobody, especially a former Premier, should celebrate a political culture where people believe they need to conceal their identity before speaking openly.

The answer isn’t intimidation and mockery—it’s to ask what has created that fear in the first place.

To everyone in the Alberta independence movement: don’t let yourselves be divided or discouraged. Standing alone is easy to dismiss. Standing together is hard to ignore.

We have to stand together, support one another, and keep speaking peacefully and respectfully. That’s how we’re going to found our Republic of Alberta.
